Also, if someone is making personal attacks, we'll most likely step in and deal with it.
Thanks AnandaHya for reposted this of a moderator. I saw this in one thread, calling each other 'wolves in sheeps clothing' 'ministries of satan', etc...then I saw the same thing again in another thread from the same people,..guess I should report it because it hurts my eyes to read and not a good example to other people..but then...

only problem with that theory is that this site does not have advertisers and is not supported by advertising...
Thats actually a bigger reason to generate as much traffic as possible because it probably means that they don't have enough traffic to attract advertisers yet.

if you were a mod what would you suggest happen?

I would ask that people treat the site as a Christian site and not their dumping ground for their anger, hatred and bitterness. Doesn't really convey the Christian creed that you would want to project, eh?

I know my faith isn't strengthened when I come here anymore and reading some of the arguments reminds me why I was on the agnostic side. What does that mean for the site? Less revenue eventually.

And before someone replies to "ignore" in big bold whatever color you choose today, I ignore those posts because that is just someone yelling on the internet, and I have enough of that in real life.

well you have to realize that not all who come to this site are Christians. would you suggest that only Christians be allowed in? then how would anyone who was not Christian hear about Jesus and God?

I think more grace and compassion is needed. God loves them and forgives them for coming with their anger, hatred and bitterness. Perhaps He is calling them and asking us His children to help them be free of those burdens through discussion of His holy Words?

i guess that is why I don't mind the angry people. I'm just glad they are reading their BIbles and want to talk about it.

No, I'm not saying only Christians should be allowed. I must have started writing in Polish recently because I am not writing clearly I guess.

The fact that a blind eye is given to the back biting and lashing out even from the "Christians", not the ones seeking information, I think is what is being discussed. Maybe I am wrong.

Yes, that is what I am seeing too. People of different beliefs arguing over interpretations or the concept of the trinity for example.

yeah, I see your point of view but the thing is some are trying to understand the other person's perspective and as long as they are being polite and respectful and Christ-like in the exchange I don't see the problem.

like I said before people come in angry, sad, depressed, hurt, self-righteous and contentious with a lot of thoughts and beliefs that war against the knowledge of God. I think instead of seeing the bad in the other person and their responses we should plant seeds of God's grace in their lives and speak with them about the Bible and how GOD would like them to act and how God's words can truly heal their hearts and tear down the strongholds in their lives that make them still be bound to sin and this world.

Am I making any sense?

you see sometimes the issue being discussed is not the topic at hand but sometimes you have to deal with the topic things to find out about the underlying hurt. you have to gain their trust before they will reveal why they came to the forum in the first place. sometimes that may take a few weeks but with prayer and patience the most contentious will eventually reveal why they are that way and what they truly believe and what is but a mask to hide the pain. Sometimes when you feel broken and forsaken all you have is your robes of self righteousness, we just have to remind them that Jesus said to lay even that burden on His feet and pick up the cross HE gives them and wear the robes of white He offers and water the plants He sows with His words and harvest the fruits of love, joy, peace, patience and Self Control.

often those fruit are lacking but we do as the husbandmen did when the Master wanted to cut down the fig tree. We pray and ask for more time and more grace...

Luke 13:7-9
New King James Version (NKJV)
7 Then he said to the keeper of his vineyard, ‘Look, for three years I have come seeking fruit on this fig tree and find none. Cut it down; why does it use up the ground?’ 8 But he answered and said to him, ‘Sir, let it alone this year also, until I dig around it and fertilize it. 9 And if it bears fruit, well. But if not, after that[a] you can cut it down.’”

I would pray you have patience and love toward them until they learn that love from watching you and learn to control their own words and harness their tongue so that they to might glorify God and not grieve His Spirit.

one question if you knew you only had 6 months to live, how would you behave?

note this is true about one of the most complained people on the bible discussion forums. you can go back and read a few post and see who and what I'm referring to it is all in the public forums but most seem to miss it.

Yes, that makes sense, but the thing about finding the pain behind the anger just kind of came out of left field to me. I know what you're saying though. I believe the same thing about angry people. Dr. Phil said "anger is a mask for pain" and I'll never forget that.

I don't know who u mean, but its not for me to know. I don't know how I would act if I only had 6 months. Part of me says I will be more tolerant and forgiving but the other part of me says I will be bitter and angry.

Uh oh I think I know who you mean and I was mean to that person once because they posted a bunch of stuff that offended me, if it is who i think it is. But I apologized to her in a post later, but I don't know if she ever saw it.

I am on dialysis. While I have many, many years left to live hopefully it has made mw step back and look at how I act, spend my time and how I am edified. Watching the back biting here isn't a part of that, that is why I asked a moderator to delete my account. I hope others would take their words into consideration as well, but I have little hope of that.

You don't still want it deleted do you? I really hope not. I will really miss you..and I don't want that. I think a lot of people here would miss you. You weren't the one I thought it was by the way.

Another bad thread title very negative we should be more vigilante of this I think. This seems more like sensationalism and in some case intentional!!!

"There's a dark and a troubled side of life
There's a bright and a sunny side too
Though we meet with the darknest of strife
The sunny side we also may view

Keep on the sunny side
Always on the sunny side
Keep on the sunny side of life
It will help us every day
It will brighten up our way
If we keep on the sunny side of life

Though the storm and it's fury breaks today
Crushing hopes that we cherish so dear
The clouds and storm will in time pass away
And the sun again will shine bright and clear

(break)

Let us treat with a song of hope each day
Though the moment be cloudy or clear
Let us trust in our Saviour old ways
He will keep everyone in His care

Keep on the sunny side
Always on the sunny side
Keep on the sunny side of life
It will help us every day
It will brighten up our way
If we keep on the sunny side of life"

let me be the first to apologize as I am the last person to open a thread titled "wolves in sheeps clothing" I never EVER intended to lash out at those I was speaking about. Or too. I am but human and to this day I still let some things get to me. I am getting better at giving my emotions up to the Lord though it has by no means been perfected. I just wanted to say that the only reason I made that thread and the only reason many of us keep those arguements going is this one thought that nags at us in the back of our mind." what if we don't get the other side of this topic out correctly, and someone reads it and believes because we went away that the other opinion was correct." that may not seem like a big deal to someone scanning these threads or someone who has already made up their mind about these topics and come here for other reasons (maybe to see something happy) but when we talk about questions like "do I need to turn away from my sins to be saved?" these questions must go answered, and maybe it doesn't matter to you or a hundred others, but somewhere in between there may be one person who is glued to that screen and feels that they need to believe what they are doing is the will of GOD. Never have I condoned calling names, or trying to belittle anyone. However at some point these arguements take turns for almost the sureal, at which times the bible seems to jump out at us in 3D and suddenly we see something that the bible has been trying to show us in a whole new light. Such as a wolf in sheeps clothing. It is a simple picture. That which eats flesh, dressing up like one of the flock, to lead it away from the shepherd, surely if such a thing exists than it is possible to encounter such an entity. Again I do apologize if this seemed negative to you. It was never my intention.
Also I would like to say, I believe all party's envolved have learned that anger is not the way. The more threads we (as a whole) comment on and study scripture, the more we realize that we shouldn't strive, but be gentle.
I hope you stay. God bless :), again I apologize.

Hey No sweat DT just sayin's all
I've noticed that some threads really invoke extremely emotional responses from some of the patrons and as well as zone would say... all this sensationalism gets us off topic and not focused on what we should be focusing on... God...and by the way I didn't find the wolves in sheeps clothing thread offensive. As a matter of fact kinda brings it all into perspective if you know what I mean I never realized how many people are working both sides of the fence..........well.........actually wolves in sheeps clothing says it all!

peace and love bro

Well I think Yoda summed up the darkside very well: Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, and hate leads to suffering.

I would like to point out that anger is just self trying to keep all those things that self thinks belongs to him/her. Now I know that this concept might seem foreign or even completly unbelieveable to some but please bear with me.

I was diagonsed schzaphrenic at age 16 I know the disillusioned mind very well. I have speant most of my life there. I personally feel that all of us are disillusioned to some regard through-out our lives. I am sure different degrees and different solutions present themselves to all of us differently.

If you follow that train of thought you relize that sin is the disillusion we all share. We all fall short, but at the same time we can all sore to such heights as to move mountains and part seas through the Power of the Holy Spirit of Lord God Almighty in ourselves. Yep i think that is pretty plan God lives in us, inside the depths of our soul. In the belly of our beast if you will.

I find so much peace in that simple truth. Being a christian is not like winning the lottery, it is not like drawing a get out of jail free card. If anything as a christian as a professor of Christ we will have the more to answer for. We will be judged more harshly because we have been given insight into the knowledge and wisdom of God.
