1. Who ever said i don't 2. Whether i use "your" or "Are" doesn't really alter my point. 3. Never assume, it makes you look stupid 4. If you think that was disrespectful; you earn my respect 5. since when do we have the same weaknesses? 6. your not the first who ever said that to me and i know, mediocrity is my weakness 7. in the end, the smartest and Wisest prevail
I just said that is the way it seems.... I made no assumptions either, an observation, yes.

You are not mediocre, you are a child of the most high GOD. I hope you can see that I am only trying to help you. Just be thoughtful about the words you are using, not only for my sake or the sake of others, but for your own. God Bless!

I'm torn on this one. I'm not sure if I'm really all that wise, but at 42, I guess I am one of the older women on here, and yes, I've seen what the OP says, about younger women dressing maybe what they think is appropriate, but what I think isn't.

The problem is, who am I to say? I wear sweats and a sweat shirt. Some people say what I wear is inappropriate. Maybe in some settings, what they wear would not cause anyone in their culture to look twice. (For example, in Miami I understand women tend to wear less than women in, say, Anchorage.) People are from all over the world here.

An example: there is one young woman I see in chat a lot, she's in her low 20s, who has an avatar that I find very sexually provocative, and I don't know if she means it to be that way. I hesitate to say anything, because she is very popular with others her age, and I don't want to be seen as a fuddy-duddy if no one else is offended by it. But if she is causing some of my brothers to stumble, especially if she doesn't even realize it or mean it, maybe I should say something in PM.

I don't know. Thanks for the food for thought, I shall pray on it.

Honestly,I can somewhat agree with you...however,I still agree with the OP and what I said before as well. I mean...it's bigger than being on here,it's all over the internet, and even worse yet, they go out to school, and various places dressed in ways that are inappropriate which causes many issues and poses a risk for their safety. I mean some crazy random guy out there could snatch them up,and that would be the end of it...sadly that's true, and happens all too often.

Oh of course, however I just agree with things. I mean if we can set an example for them, help them out,etc then we should do so you know? I get both sides here. I mean it's just like if something is tempting to you,and you just don't feel you can resist,be it partying, drinking, drugs, sex, anything that's sinful...then don't surround yourself with it. There's nothing wrong with correcting, instruct, etc out of love :)

people stumble for there own business...its not evil or anything, thats just how teens dress...its like me wanting tattoos and piercings...i were black most of the time chains and stuff
Wait, i don't get you!!.. Somebody comes in here to put on a reasonable thread and all you can reply him with is that it is his weakness. So everything we get tempted by are our weaknesses?. When Devil tempted Jesus with earthly treasures, does it mean Earthly Treasures were the weaknesses of JESUS CHRIST???..

Hmmm *SMH* at you!!!

I thought the verse was 'your body is a temple.'
Not, 'your body is a dungeon.'
lol sorry that really made me laugh
The verse where "Your body is a temple" comes from is not talking about women's appearance, but it's about men submitting themselves to prostitutes. Please make sure the context is correct when addressing Scripture because it's how we know how to live our lives as faithful to God. For He was first faithful to us and He deserves all the credit.

We are called to be salt and light in this world--to be different than the culture in a good way (Matthew 5:13-16). The Bible says women especially should be modest, so strong Christian men are not at all going to be attracted to the norm of this rebellious generation (1 Timothy 2:9). The norm is to be promiscuous.

When I go through on facebook and see all the different pictures of women, no I'm not tempted to think about sex with them, but yes I know which ones are honoring the Holy Bible with their lives through modesty. It's about being zealous about taking a stand against evil influence. Take a look at the nation's history. It used to be taboo to wear a one piece at the beach. That was less than 100 years ago. Nothing but a blip in all of mankind's history. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that America is headed downhill fast in the area of morals. The typical American Christian does not uphold the norms of the Biblical standards that were held in this country not too long ago. So stand up those who are called according to His purposes (Romans 8:28)! Put on your game face and fight the enemy where he is, right here in our own wicked hearts!

Great thought but there is an awful lot of opposition here to truthful exhortation when it comes to women.

This is an old thread, but someone messaged me implying that my pictures are revealing I guess... If they are then I'll take them down, but I don't know which ones are.
