First off, I want to say two things.
I want to say that OUR GOD IS AMAZING, and that ChristianChat is such a blessing to me.

I was lost in my walk with the Lord.
To me, there were footprints in the sand. Two sets of them. The Lord's footprints continued on a straight path and mine veered off to the side. I was suffering from an addiction to internet pornography and an attack of homosexual thoughts. Now, don't get the wrong understanding from this. I'm not homosexual in any way, nor will I ever be. The unwanted thoughts just popped into my head at random moments. My mind was just filled with a lot of very negative thoughts.
I strayed from the Lord very badly.

I wanted so desperately to fellowship with other Christians and talk to them and let them help me set my life straight. I wanted to find Jesus again.
I found this site while searching for Christian Chat Sites on Google.
I first created my account on ChristianChat February 10th of this year.
That very night, while I was exploring the chat rooms, I came across the 'Prayer Room.' There were a group of people in there. I had a feeling in my gut that I just had to tell these people about my problems.
I'm glad I did =)

I agree to let my fellow chatters pray for me. During the prayers, the person speaking had been filled with the Holy Spirits and began to pray in tongues. I had began crying and I let out a deep cry to Jesus. A gradual warmth just covered my body from my head down to the tip of my toes. Suddenly my mind was cleared of all the unwanted thoughts. Even the thought of looking at the nasty pictures on the internet.

It was a tough struggle, but with Jesus by my side, it was possible.
Gradually I had gotten to where every time I started my computer, the thought of pornography didn't even cross my mind. I no longer receive the homosexual thoughts either.

I am on a closer walk with Jesus now. The footprints in the sand are side-by-side.
I now attend church every Sunday mornings, nights, and Wednesday nights.
My life is great now. I see everything from a different prospective. A more positive prospective.

A Special Thank You To:
JESUS!

Sounds like you may have experienced "Entire Sanctification" also known as "Christian Perfection" or "The Second Blessing." Give 'em the Google treatment.

If you know what it is that you experienced in detail, then you can also know how to lead others to the same experience. If you can't orate your experience, you won't be able to lead others to this same freedom, and God's work in you will not benefit anyone but you.

Awesome. I could go into a psychological analysis of your experience there; but, really, who cares right? lol The point is you identified the source of the problem and you fought back. Just remain vigil; because, temptation lurks around every corner.

Might want to put a little post-it on your monitor to remind you to stay on the path. :D

That's human wisdom. Faith is more than adequate to preserve him.

The flaw in that reasoning is that you forget that we have free will. Faith is just an empty word without will and determination, human traits.

John Wesley - avid proponent of Free Will - speaking after he renounced his own works and was saved by faith alone:

And herein I found the difference between this and my former state chiefly consisted. I was striving, yea fighting, with all my might under the law, as well as under grace: but then I was sometimes, if not often, conquered; now I was always conqueror.

A living faith results in works, without any effort on our part. It's known as the Sabbath Rest of God:

Heb 4:
10For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.

When we cease from our own works, the fruits of the Spirit exist in our lives and we obey God without any effort. His yolk is easy, and His burden is light.

Sounds pleasant; but, I am going to guess that you have never experienced a drug addict preaching to you about God just before he goes out to steal for more drugs or an alcoholic who prays to Jesus every time she finishes another bottle. I've seen it all.

Faith doesn't work on it's own in reality; you have to want to change. Anyone who says they just started believing one day and they stopped doing all those horrible things they were doing before right then and there, are stretching the truth. I am not saying they didn't change; but, it certainly didn't happen over night. I respect you for believing in people as much as you do; but, if you don't use discernment in all things you are also not following God's wishes.

"Test everything. Hold on to the good. Avoid every kind of evil." (Thessalonians 5:21-22)
