About 2 years ago, I was drowning in an impossible job situation. Due to staffing shortages, I was actually filling 3 different positions. This required 12-15 hour days, with an hour drive home each way, and 7 day weeks. I am an RN in home health managment, so this has happened to me more than one time. I was miserable, and my family was as well. We weren't even benefitting financially like we should have, as taxes and gasoline were eating up my check.

I cried out to God for deliverance! We needed my paycheck to meet our obligations, but I needed to have some sort of life outside of my job. I was not able to participate in missions in any significant way, and I also wanted to be able to contribute financially to a specific, wonderful ministry to homeless in our area in a more significant way. I asked God to show me a way to work from home.

Through my prayers, I began to conceive of a website, and I believe that this was directly from the leading of the Holy Spirit. I was thinking about forming a list of names of believers, one that would be so large that it would greatly encourage us as we were able to visually see the body of Christ in numbers and strength. Now, I am nearly computer illiterate, so I had no idea how to go about doing this. My husband and family were not enthusiastic, to say the least, and thought it was a stupid idea. I just couldn't get it out of my head, though, and found a Christian Web Design company that was really excited about my idea. With their help, the site was developed over several really frustrating months. Along with the List, we added an interactive blog, a prayer request page, and a page outlining salvation through Jesus Christ.

I was so excited, and names starting popping up on the List right away! But soon, all action just stopped, and I became discouraged. After months of inactivity, I began to think that the importance was in the obedience of creating the site, not the results.

Two days ago, I found out that there had been many "hits" on my site, but that paypal had put restrictions on the account that wouldn't allow names to be added! All issues were quickly resolved, and now the site is up and running again!

I am praying that this site will prosper, that it will bring Glory to God, that it will lead unbelievers to Him and encourage the Body of Christ. The firstfruits are dedicated to a very special mission, and I am trusting God to be able to give them very soon! I am hoping to be able to continue in full time ministry as well. God is so good, in every circumstance!
