Yes, bad thoughts are bad, Jesus says that if you look at a woman and lust, you have committed adultery already, and He also said if you are angry you will be judged

Matthew 5:28 But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

Matthew 5:21-22 You have heard that it was said to the people long ago, 'Do not murder, and anyone who murders will be subject to judgment "But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother shall be guilty before the court; and whoever says to his brother, 'You good-for-nothing,' shall be guilty before the supreme court; and whoever says, 'You fool,' shall be guilty enough to go into the fiery hell

Yes, bad thoughts are most certainly sin. Let no man deceive you to believe anything else.

Matt.5

[27] Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:
[28] But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
[29] And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

Matt.15

[18] But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.
[19] For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:
[20] These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man.
Says much about the miserable state of man.

I think even by definition bad is bad, if you think anything is 'bad', then keep yourself from it. God bless

This makes me think of a good saying: "You can't stop the crows from flying around your head, but you can prevent them from making a nest on your head." That is to say that even if bad thoughts come, we should not feed them or allow them to "nest" in our heads. "We submit every thought to Christ."

its bad if you're always thinking negative thoughts...the better way to get rid of those thought is to talk to someone who you can share your thoughts without judging it or laughing at it, or pray... God can make turn bad thoughts into good thoughts.

To purposely think of a sinful thought is, of course, sin.. ex: lusting for someone

But if there is a passing thought that is sinful, then acting upon that thought is sin.

Charles Haddon Spurgeon once said: "We can't stop the birds from flying over our heads, but we can keep them from nesting in our hair".

Bad thoughts may pass through ... it's when you mull on them, and savor, that is indeed bad. the enemy can interject bad thoughts into your mind ... reject them right away.

No, they are not sin - you're only human, everyone has thoughts at certain times that are nothing to be proud of. Just remember not to hold on to them and let such thoughts become a mentality that controls your life it.

We cant control what the devil trys to throw in our minds but we can control what we allow to stay in them and what come out of our mouths. Cast all evil out in the name of Jesus.

Bring every thought into subjection to Christ, command bad thoughts to Leave in the Name of Jesus Christ, also it is helpful to start praying immediately when they come to Jesus to help take these thoughts from you. It is a constant struggle, but necessary in our fallen world.
