My mom called me and asked me if I had 100$, I said no soon, because I was reluctant to give my money, it was an evil response really. But I did give it later. Anyhow, she wanted me to make a bank deposit for her. I never have done this before. She told me that she didn't want anyone else to do it. And she made the comment that she may use me later on to make deposits for the church (I am always ready to hear what the Lord is saying). Anyhow I went to the bank today with the deposit, and when I got in line I got nervous all of a sudden. I thought to myself, what if they want to check my ID? What if they won't accept the money because it isn't my account? That would be really embarrassing!! Well, it went through and was quick and easy, but I still kept wondering WHAT IF!!
This isn't the firs time I have been shaken up by something like this. And even now I think about Jonah. But first I thought about Jesus and this is the story:
The Father sent his Son to the bank of this world to make a deposit on his behalf, but when he came with the deposit, and offered it to the people, they rejected it! Why would they not take his deposit? They asked him for his ID and he told them that he was sent by his Father on behalf of his Father, but they would not believe him until they saw his ID, or knew his credentials. They said, who is this man, we don't know him. But this happened to fulfill the prophesy that no one will know where he is from. Yes, he was from heaven, and from the Father but they did not receive him on behalf of his Father. Whether they recognized him or not, why would they not accept the deposit? Isn't a deposit a deposit no matter who it comes from? Don't they benefit from the deposit?
You see, Jesus came to give his life for the world but the world rejected him. But they really reject God, because God sent him. And this is a message to all of you believers who do the will of God from the heart, if they will not receive you, they have not received Jesus Christ, and if they do not receive Jesus, then they do not know nor do they receive God. Let Jesus make that deposit into the bank of your heart, so that you can store the treasure of heaven there, and so that bountiful blessings, both in this world and the world to come will dwell in you. May Jesus bless you.
