Was in my theology lecture today, and the lecturer had the most amazing story I thought Id share.
Years back one of his friends had had a relaionship with God but for reasons he didnt go into, he started running away from the Lord.
But no matter where he went, he kept bumping into Christians who would witness to him, asking him if he knew Jesus Christ.
As the weeks went by he got so desperate to get away he went to a topless bar, sure of himself that he would never find anyone in there that would witness to him.
Now most of these establishments are owned by fairly questionable men, but this was one owned by bikies (for those of you not in AU, im not sure how it works over in your countries, but certain bikie clubs are known as organised crime in our state.)
So we went up to the bar and ordered a drink from the topless girl working, and she asks him, if he knows Jesus?
He freaks out.. runs out... shakes it off.. because of course that couldnt have really happened.. walks in and out another time before finally settling on the fact that this girl couldnt be a Christian, after all, she's topless, serving drinks at a bikie establishment.
So we walks back in and settles back down in front of her and she starts again.
He asks her if she's a Christian, why is she working in a topless pub..?
She replies that she went to a meeting the weekend before, and was saved. And the only reason she's still working there is because she has a contract until friday and her employers wont release her from it. (the sort of people that will literally/physically keep you from breaking contract.
After that night he repented and came back to the Lord.
So remember folks, God can reach all of us, anywhere. God's plan is divine and infinite, and can reach any of us no matter where life takes us, whether by accident, or with our own two feet.
Much love brothers and sisters, and be encouraged.
