It wasn't for a pretense that the man what was full of sorrow beat his breast and lie in the dust. It was an expression of the man, that he was as low as the dust, which he was shaped from. And that there is something in the man that he must get out.

I beat my breast in a lamentation to the Lord. If the Lord would make me as low as the dust, I would be happy to be the dust he walked on.

Lord, I AM NOT WORTHY! I am just dust.

My flesh is a hindrance to me. Take out of me what is not like you!!

Why does a man desire to return to dust? If there is any glory for dust, it is but for the glory of the one that gave the dust life.

How low can a man be? can he be lower than dust?

I cannot hide from the Lord, he knows all the dust. He knows me well. Where can I go that he cannot find me?

With is water, and my dust, and the heat of the day, then he can make me a lively stone. But I am yet a stone in a building of many stones.
