I wasn't sure where to post this, but I decided to try it here. It conerns the time when my late mother learned
that she had advanced cancer.

She was misdiagnosed by her doctor in 2004 and learned months later, and too late, that she had cancer and not
an infection. I prayed for her like crazy, but it was not to be. She saw her oncologist for the first time perhaps in late
January, and he thought there was hope, but did not seem to move very fast to help her. In June, my aunt called me to tell me
that mom was too ill to stay at home alone and so I got her an appointment with her oncologist and I continued to
pray. The night before we were to go to the appointment...I woke up about 4 AM and all was dark and quiet.
There were these thoughts coming to me. First I was told that my mother was going to die soon, but I was not
to worry because she was going to Heaven. There was more. I was not so very surprised because she had been a strong Christian for some time and a person of considerable faith.

In the morning we brought her to the doctor and as soon as he saw that she was jaundiced yellow he placed her in the
nearby hospital. I went with her to the room and the first thing I saw was one word written on the white board.
"Heaven" was written there, and it struck a note with the message I had received at 4 AM. How on earth did God get that message on the board? She did not have her glasses on and so did not see what was written there. When I came back the
next day the message was gone.

She was given exploratory surgery and the surgeon afterwards told me that the cancer was everywhere and there
was nothing they could do. She died there within 9 days and I was called in the middle of the night by the doctor on the 9th night, and he told me that she had died and it was a shock to them all how she died so quickly, but I knew it would happen by what I was told. She was very old and if she was not to be healed then I was glad that she did not have
to suffer with the pain for a longer period. She was on morphine for the pain. Thank you Lord for faithful parents!

May the Lord bless us all.

God is merciful isn't He ? God bless you through the days ahead.
Many are being taken and when it is a serious illness and suffering
involved, it is a relief not to see them live a pain filled life.

I know you will miss her. I ask the Father, our Father God to be
with you on days you miss her. He was merciful and being in Heaven
is best place ever ~ God bless you,~
