A few months ago my stepmom was in the hospital with days to live the doctors told everyone get there now because its now or never. So after church My mom big brother and I traveled almost 2 hours to the hospital with the intention of bringing life and when we got there the nurse told us where her room was, we didn't recognize her she looked like a shriveled up old man. We had a really good visit and I didn't have the faith that she was going to die and I told her that. She said we can visit her in the hospital sometime latter if she didn't die and I said "I will visit you at home." we didn't avoid the concept of her dyeing I just spoke what I strongly believed. We went home and later found out her turn around was when we were there. And now she's at home getting around and getting stronger. I wrote this because I wrote an article on thanksgiving and thought I should bring everyone up to speed with what I wrote next.
Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday I like the food and you don't have to wander around the malls looking for presents for others who likely don't need them. You get to enjoy (or put up with lol ) your family and you don't have to be anybody or feel like you have to be someone your not. It’s a time to just sit back and enjoy.
Thanksgiving was really all about giving thanks to God and nothing else. They had Thanksgiving fasts as well when things weren't going so good. It’s the only truly Christian holiday we have even though God seems to be tried to be pushed out of nearly everything including Church.
I had an early thanksgiving today at my aunt's apartment in a room for the residence and they have a indoor pool so I took my stepmom and sister to the pool and we took off our shoes and put our feet in the water and just sat there and was being peaceful and enjoying it all. My stepmom keeps doing better and better it was a little hard for her to get down to sit with her legs in the water but it was worth it we all had fun. If you have a disability don't let it stop you from enjoying every possible thing the more you do, the more life flows through you. This was a great day.
