Your passion for music, Carrie Underwood, etc., is very evident. It’s beautiful to see that you want to be used by God to bring Him glory in the world of Country Music.
I encourage you first and foremost to delight yourself in the LORD (Psalm 37:4), who is Jesus Christ’s God. Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Obey God by keeping the commands of His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. Daily take up your cross, deny yourself, and follow Jesus (Luke 9:23). He is the only way to his God, the one true God: his Father and our Father, his God and our God (John 14:6, 17:3, 20:17).
As you navigate the Country music industry, which is full of wickedness, you will be tested. Continually prove yourself faithful to Christ by honoring him and his God in everything you do and with every song you sing.
Don’t compromise your walk with Christ by singing songs like “Before He Cheats.” The lyrics of this song and the lifestyle promoted therein are not Christian. Remember that we as Christians are not to repay evil for evil (Proverbs 20:22; Romans 12:17-21; 1 Peter 3:9-12).
On the opposite end of the spectrum, a song like “Something in the Water” is worthy of praise. Allow Christ to use you to lead people to his God, so that they can experience the Father’s amazing grace.
“Humble yourself under the mighty hand of God and in due time He will exalt you” (1 Peter 5:6).
God bless you as you obey His Son.
