My wife and I have had ghost activity over the past years. It was always something subtle and seemed to only happen when my wife was alone. Once she noticed all the interior doors in the house were open. A couple of years ago she saw footprints of water on the floor having a clear trail. A lot of the time she just experienced fear in the night and was uncomfortable by herself.
Myself I never really had an experience that told me for sure that a presence was there for sure. I did get creepy feelings of fear sometimes at night. Sometimes I would feel a slight poking on the bed sheet around my wife's legs after she went to sleep. It was barely noticeable. I would wake up and never see any evidence. Basically, I figured maybe it came and went and the poking feeling was my wife twitching her toes. She just twitches a lot.
I've had real scary ghost experiences in the past and this one seemed very tame. I hadn't paid much attention to it till lately. The reason I started taking it seriously is I've been reading people's posts on this site. Quite a few have had tremendous ghost activity. I've been trying to encourage them to use the authority given to us over evil spirits and cast them out in the name of Jesus. Or pray for help. Plus, I've been hearing other preachers talk about ghosts and explain that no matter who or what they appear to be they are all evil deceivers.
I also had a dream. I was in a house and it was haunted. The evil spirit was trying to close a door on me and I was trying to push it open. In the dream I was not afraid of the Evil spirit at all but I just kept hesitating to cast it out. I just kept waiting for the right moment. I didn't consider the dream prophetic because I didn't see the dream more than once. And I also didn't see a different dream that was a different version of the first. The dream was however powerful enough to get me thinking. So I decided to act.
I went to my wife and asked her if she thought the presence that was in the house might still be there. She said yes and mentioned that she still gets fearful feelings at night. So I finally woke up and said let's say a prayer and cast it out in the name of Jesus. I figured if it wasn't there anymore then what does it hurt? Why wait for clear evidence? I had waited years and never got any.
So we prayed to the Father and asked for a blessing on the house. Then I stood in the middle of the house and said I cast out any unclean spirit in the name of Jesus. I opened the basement door and said the same thing. Nothing seemed to happen but we both felt better.
The next morning I talked with my wife. She said she felt like the evil presence might still be in the house. She said she got a feeling that the spirit was stuck out of the bedroom but was trying to pick on the cat. Plus she said that the basement door was wide open in the morning.
That night we did the same exorcism as the night before this time I even went into the attic and did it. And we prayed more too. That night I had a dream. I think I had the same dream three times but could only remember the third. I saw a figure start to form it was an outline of a man in a reddish pink color this figure was good. Just as the outline materialized something caused the figure's head to dissolve. At that instant I heard a voice say, "this is the spirit of antichrist". Instantly something woke me up. I could feel a presence at my wife's feet. I perceived it was holding them down and I could hear it making noise with the covers and I could feel the covers moving. Then it went away. It was after midnight.
I didn't know what to do so I started praying and just kept thinking and praying and asking for help. A while later while I laid there the answer popped into my head. It's that Bible. Her Bible. The NIV student bible. I heard a very passionate teacher talk against it. He said the NIV was written by an occultist woman and that certain things had been changed. I went out and got a King James Bible. I told my wife about the teachers message but she didn't take it seriously. She had been reading that Bible for years and like the commentaries and the easy to understand language. So I got up a wrote on a post it, "Don't read this. Wake me up." Then I went back to bed. I prayed hard that God would put me back to sleep and send me another confirmation in a dream so that I could convince her with something more than an idea.
I finally got back to sleep about 10 minutes before her alarm was set. God sent me another dream. I saw a cat this cat looked like the two cats we owned but mixed together. It ran over to where my wife has kept her bible for years and laid down on it. The cat immediately went crazy and it was possessed. I tried telling my wife to look at the cat and see how it's going crazy. She said I can't see it. Then I woke up.
When my wife got up I told her everything that happened. I told her that the tainted bible was the doorway for the unclean spirit, and that's why we couldn't cast it out. She said she didn't understand but she would trust in the message and get rid of the Bible and she went to work. I was gonna throw it in the dumpster but I decided to burn it so it was gone. It was not easy for me to do even with all of the events that led up to it. I just kept thinking I was doing something wrong but I trusted God. I figured with the bible out the spirit would be gone. So I decided we would do another exorcism that night just in case. Then I left.
When I got home a couple of hours later I found the basement and back doors open. I knew they were closed when I left. I immediately decided not to wait for my wife to get home. I closed the back door, did the exorcism, and closed the basement door. I wasn't afraid but I was very loud and serious. When I finished I walked into the bathroom to take a shower took off my shirt and turned around to see the basement door wide open. I walked out and saw the back door open too. Then I prayed to the Father out loud. Pleading for him to help me get this thing out. I cleared my mind hoping for communication but nothing happened. So I took my shower changed and left. Nothing else had happened.
While I was out I continued praying about it. Finally I prayed hard, "Father if that spirit is gone please let the doors be shut when I get home. If it's still there please just let them be open. If they are open then I need to get help from someone else because I don't know what to do. The good news came when I got home. The doors were shut. We are both sleeping better with no feelings of a bad presence. I got my wife a King James Bible with big lettering. I prayed for a blessing on it. Just as I sat it down I remembered the dream of the image that formed as an outline of a man it was pinkish red. The bible I bought came in a red case and had a pink cover.
I hope you read this story and believe it. I am telling the truth It's been eight days with no feelings of the evil spirit.

It is appointed once for a man to do....... and then to judgment.

Doesn't leave much room for the soul of a dead man, bound to the earth by some temporal event, trapping him to wander the earth until he resolves the issue.

And, honestly, this just sounds like a KJV Onlyist propaganda post.

Funny, for the 'occultist' bible you're so against, yet so much of what is in this post is unbiblical.

The NIV's not a bad translation, but there's certainly better ones out there.

Souls of dead men sleep in the Earth. It is written in the Bible the dead know nothing. Those who sleep in the earth wait for resurrection. Who then do you think all these mediums are talking to. If the dead know nothing. They are talking to unclean spirits. They are all around. I don't want them in my house and I don't want them in your houses either. This post is for your good not mine. My Father in heaven showed me the truth about that polluted bible. Now I've given my testimony about the events that just happened to me. I did not lie. I told the truth for your good not mine.
