He has stood up for me when pastors have preached from the pulpit against me. One thing that comes to mind that is very precious to me.
I was working in a church in the Bahamas. I was ostracized by church & family. Worse, they went out of their way to try to get me to lose my mind by making sure no one spoke to me, yelling insults at me constantly & this was all over town, not just in church. Even my family stopped speaking to me.
I was in such emotional pain, I felt I was hurting from my head to my toes. It was intense & overwhelmed me.
I sprained my ankle & could not stay home where I was staying with my grandaunt , so I had to go to work , with that pain as well to the enjoyment of all there.
I sat down for a 15 minute break in the cafeteria. I sat in a chair & put my leg up in a chair in front of me. , The 700 Club was on & they were praying that God would bring healing to people. Terry was leading the prayer. I said, "God , if YOU love me, please heal my ankle".
Just as I said the last word, Terry brought up her head & said, "There is someone watching & you've sprained your ankle. You are sitting with your leg in the chair in front of you. God wants you to know that He loves you & He is healing your ankle right now".
So , the girl who was sitting next to me , looked up at me. When I got up to go back down the stairs all the pain was gone & most of the swelling was gone.
