Why I thought the devil had me

Hello, well I had given my life to Christ:) . After I had done that I started to read the bible to learn more about God and his forgiveness. One Day as I was reading my bible a smoke smell came rushing through my nose-It was so weird- I rushed to my mom to find out if she smelt it too, of course she said no. Not knowing what it was I cried and preyed thinking the devil had me, I was to be afraid to tell anyone that this smoke smell came from my nose:eek:. Thinking it was a medical problem I went to the doctor got tested but everything came back negative. Finally one day I gathered the courage to go to my R.E.(religious education) teacher, and.....she said it was The Holy Spirit!!!!!!! She explained how the Holy Spirit can ignite its flame in persons. I was so happy because I thought it was the devil.
I know this sounds crazy, but to me, i thought you only felt The Holy Spirit by jumping up and down or crying...boy did the devil had me fooled.
Anyway I've learned The Holy Spirit can come to us in different ways. I dont get the smoke smell nowawdays though but it helps to know;)
