1 Corinthians chapter 7 -Don't be tempted by sexual immorality for every man is to have a woman to wife and every woman is to have a man to husband. Spreading the gospel of God's love. There is also some romantic poems and poetry in the Songs of Solomon in the Old Testament.

Your translation is... odd. That makes it sound like a commandment to be married.

I just checked my bible app. The real 1 Corinthians 7 doesn't say that at all.

Yeah are we reading the same Bible or do you think vs 2-5 are the only relevant verses?

1Co 7:1, 7-8 NLT - Now regarding the questions you asked in your letter. Yes, it is good to abstain from sexual relations. ... But I wish everyone were single, just as I am. Yet each person has a special gift from God, of one kind or another. So I say to those who aren't married and to widows--it's better to stay unmarried, just as I am.

Huh I thought the letter to Corinthians was more about..don't be gay. It was specifying monogamous heterosexual marriages.
Corinthians were like hippies and had many partners and were sex mad.
