”No one who abides in him keeps on sinning; no one who keeps on sinning has either seen him or known him. Little children, let no one deceive you. Whoever practices righteousness is righteous, as he is righteous. Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil. No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God's seed abides in him, and he cannot keep on sinning because he has been born of God.”
This it states but how does this Coincide with for example Peter who Denied christ before the rooster Cried out three times?
The Bible states that a Spirit led life will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh, for they have crucified the flesh with the affections, and lusts, and show the ways of the Spirit, and not the flesh.
And God will not allow them to be tempted above what they are able, and will give them an escape from the temptation, so they can bear it.
Which means if a person hates sin, and does not want sin, by the Spirit they can abstain from sin.
Which a person led of the Spirit is not under the law, for their sins are forgiven, and they are not sinning, therefore the law cannot touch them for prosecution.
If a person holds unto sin then they are under the law, and if they sin wilfully, hold unto sin, then there is no more sacrifice for sin, which means the blood of Christ cannot wash it away, and it is on their record.
The Bible says the Lord knows them that are His having this seal, that those that name the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
And awake to righteousness, and sin not, but some do not have the knowledge of God.
The Bible says some have a form of godliness, but deny the power thereof, from such turn away, ever learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth, and are lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God.
Which Jesus said not everybody that calls Him Lord will be able to dwell with Him, for they did not do the will of the Father, but were workers of iniquity.
1Jn 3:10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.
Here it states that righteousness is an action on our part, so our actions determine our standing with God, for if a person holds unto sin, and sins daily thinking it does not affect their relationship with God, then they are not in good standing with God.
Many hypocrites that think they are right with God, but they are not.
Also OSAS the way they believe becomes a temptation upon them, for if they think they cannot fall, then many will sin thinking they are alright, and then they are not doing righteousness.
They say we are the chosen, and elect, all the while their belief concerning the Bible is a temptation to them.
How can anyone believe the Bible in a way that it causes a temptation upon them.
Also when Peter denied Christ 3 times he did not have the Spirit, and he did not deny God, but the man Christ Jesus.
But when Peter was converted and received the Spirit later on he was sinning, and Paul got in his face and told Peter that he did not walk upright according to the Gospel of truth.
But all sin can be forgiven, but we should have the attitude that sin does affect our relationship with God, and that we can abstain from sin by the Spirit, and to do righteousness.
But many are hypocrites enjoying the world, which we observe as they scurry about on this planet as if they are still part of the world.
