1 John 5:13
King James Version
13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
This is a very valuable verse in the Bible, it tells you exactly what you need to do to have assurance that you have eternal life. To "believe on the name of the Son of God". What exactly does this entail? I am not an expert in this language but I would assume it means to believe that Jesus died for >our< sins, was buried, and rose from the dead, amongst other things if it's the case. Would anything else be included in this? Or did I include too much?
