My grandmother once had her picture taken with a guy while she was wearing a rather conservative one piece bathing suit. Now that picture wasn't racy by today's standards....but it most definitely was during hers. It showed her thighs bare above the knee. Everyone else in the background was wearing what were known as swimming dresses...

Today's bathing suits would get a woman arrested for public nudity.

But clothing is only one aspect of multi-faceted morality.
Back at that time women wore bussells as well to give them a bigger butt.

There are uncrossable lines of morality. Fashion has little to do with it.

Stealing, lying, and assault sre still wrong.

Hugh difference between caring about ones friends or folks in general who are homosexuals' and supporting a political movement.

Very sad 🙁

It brings a question to my mind about an MD's Hippocratic Oath, and the obligation they have to tell a person what the true state of their health is, and whether or not that Oath also requires them to warn anyone they see that displays symptoms of a deadly disease, that they need to receive treatment otherwise they will die. Maybe I'll use that line the next time I come across a homosexual couple!

I'm terribly saddened by my siblings voting yes in a fairly recent referendum asking our nation's people if they approve of same sex marriages.

Another situation with children that I find disturbing, is that single women in Oz can be artificially inseminated with sperm from a stranger, and the child from it is brought up without a father figure, and convinced that their situation is a norm.

For the sake of the children, may God bring a stop to all this madness.

I prefer how Joe's verse reads in the KJV:

"Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, PRIDE, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy." (Ezekiel 16:49)

What does today mark the end of here in the United States?

PRIDE month.

Anyhow, the people of Sodom and Gomorrah were definitely engaged in sexual perversion...even to the point of desiring to have sexual relations with male angels.

"Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire." (Jude 1:7)

We live in an ever-increasingly Godless society. Where killing babies is legal. Where having sex with children is on the verge of being legal. It wasn't long ago where if you'd told me that either of these things would happen, I would've told you that you were nuts! Not anymore.

You'll note there that he's speaking to his disciples. Not those sinners he dined with.
When did Jesus personally baptize his disciples?

What's really sad and scary is that many of our own Protestant Churches and congregations are not only accepting homosexuality as morally okay, they are taking it in to their Churches. God and scripture calls homosexuality an abomination before God. Yet many of our churches are taking this abomination, and offering sacred rites, blessing homosexuality in their churches before God and all to witness.

How far have we strayed, doing away with God's teachings and blessing the abominations? Is this the abomination foretold about the antiChrist, that he would bring the abomination in and profane God's temple of worship?

If your church is offering it's praises/blessings and sacred rites before God for homosexuality, I'd get out of there right now. You are in the wrong church.

You say that as if those who demanded Lot give his guests over, knew they were angels.

Nothing in the text suggests it.
 
I don't remember why, but somewhere along the line I got the idea that it was possible that not only did they know they were angels, but that the offenders were actually Nephilim. Wish I had a better memory.

and most people ignore these very damaging things by putting it off as "well, it's not hurting me!"
it comes off as a very self-centered remark with disregard for something that, to me, can be and is a serious issue. a drunkard, someone who self-harms, a smoker, adulterer.. i mean there are ways to approach these certain situations (whether a loved one or stranger) in appropriate manners. but these are not just things for us to keep in mind and know for ourselves, but to share with others as well with good intent. though it can only be of God's work that they would change.
not trying to come at you or anything, just saying if i love all people, i should share with them the truth and not all truth will come off as kind or will even be heard or seen.. but that shouldn't stop a person from proclaiming it.
