I saw to sons and a Dad go up to a counter to pay for something. The dad asked one son for some money, but he hesitated to give it, ''but it's my money!''
The other son looked down, and considered it, and I am almost sure he would have given it if the dad asked for it.
Both sons received their money from their dad, but when they received it, that money became, ''their money.'' Now, the dad asks for it (he really doesn't need it), and one sons says, ''but it is my money!''
Are you like that selfish son? Hasn't the Lord given you everything you have? And what would you keep back from him? He gave you life, and would you withhold it for another meal? What would you keep back? Hasn't the Lord given you life?
We should say, ''Lord, everything I have is yours, what do you want me to do with your gift?'' The Lord will be pleased. Every day, and in every prayer.
THANK YOU LORD. YOU HAVE GIVEN ME ANOTHER DAY, WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO WITH IT?
Now I will confess, I have gone away from this prayer. And every time I prayed this way, the Lord would do something awesome. Let's all get to this prayer. Let's all pray the Lord's way.
