7 year old reminded me what was important (God)

So my 7 year old just started baseball and I guess I've been pushing him some to do better than what he was. So the other night I'm on my laptop and he sits next to me holding his bible. He looks at me and says "you know dad, the bible and God are more important than baseball."

Well all I could do is agree with him and we sat and read the bible together. Sometimes kids are smarter than we think and understand life a lot better than us lol.
 
You know how many times my 2 girls remind of certain things that are important? And (for me) the message is received better coming from them then if it came from many adults because I know they say it unencumbered by personal hang ups or agendas.
But that goes nt just for my own 2 kids, but generally any younger child, imho.

Yeah I agree. If my wife would have came up to me and said that I would have probably taken offence to it lol.
 
yep kids will tell you out right the most important things in life because they can see so clearly a way to fix many tough times where as we over think what to do too much,I have two kid cousins at my church,Eternal Life Missionary Baptist,and not only are they compassionate and honest,but very well learnt in the bible too ,more so than many adults,so glad for that...

I hope you took the hint and layed off of him and stopped pushing him so hard lol
My family does the same thing, last vball practice I was threatened by my parents that if "I didnt get over it and start playing better I would be sleeping on the court" loll it's it fun when you're pushed too hard

And my brother -- the vball player -- is the type of guy who would have packed his sleeping bag and thanked them. lol

Psh,
I wish I would have. I played awful that day. And on Friday I got sick and played the worst I ever have and just about started crying when coach pulled me over to ask what was going on xD Oy poor coach, I can't imagine having to put up with me as a player lol!
