I did the same. Never carried a book home and got by in high school. Didn't graduate in the top 10% but I did pass with flying colors. Of course now that I am a parent I naturally want what is best for my son. He has the ability to do whatever he wants. He just needs to put his mind to it. I don't want him skimming by like I did. I want him to make better choices than I did as well. I don't want him to be a screw up like his mother is. He deserves so much more.I mean I had very very little homework throughout all of high school if I remember correctly. It could be I just didn't do it...either way I still graduated in the top 10% of 300+ kids, so it must not have been too important
