For the past few months I thought I found the "one". I was sure we were to be together for a lifetime, but somehow her feelings changed. She doesn't respect me, did things that completely shattered me. Now I'm just sitting here crying and feeling pathetic and I don't know what to do. I want to spend the rest of my life with her, but i know she doesn't love me anymore, I can't be with her if she goes around talking to other guys the way she did, but at least she was honest... I just need some prayers to help stop the tears, to cover this situation in the blood of christ, and for god to work his way in my time of life draining despair. Please pray for god to shine his light on my situation, i don't know what to do, or what to do with myself at this point.
 
My friend, God wants to use you mightily. I mean it, too.
I feel like the Big Man's telling me to tell you to drop everything and follow Him, but ask Him about it...

Romans 8:26-28 - "Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose."

God will show you what to do, just ask Him. Things will turn out fine :)

Psalm 147, verse 3 - "He heals the brokenhearted, and binds up their wounds." , and
Isaiah 61, verse 1 - "The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me; because the LORD hath anointed Me to preach good tidings unto the meek; He hath sent Me to bind [heal] up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;"
 
There is always danger in taking an opportunity. You took the opportunity to go after this woman, and the danger showed itself. It's very natural. With this hurt, a new opportunity is born my friend!!! The opportunity to draw closer to God than you've ever been! As your heart is empty from a loss of a person, so another can fill it's place. That one is Jesus my friend!

And kyouken, that's saying alot to me, alot of people have told me that before too, and I've felt that god has a huge purpose for me, just never really got it or really BELIEVED it, thanks for confirming for me brother. I won't forget what any of you have done, much love. God bless

And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight,
so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ

I know a young man that had his hear- broken...three years later he ended up with a woman worthy
of his love...He also got to see clearly how the first woman, would have been a mistake if they had stayed together.

when one door closes another will surely open. This is a gift in many ways go down the path your going on and you will find the woman that God wishes you to be with.
 
As difficult as this is right now, don't look back and try to persue that relationship. Sometimes letting go is hard, but staying in a bad relationship is often worse. Dr. Phil always says that the worse thing than spending years in a bad relationship is spending a year and one day. In other words, don't stay a day longer than you have already. I don't watch his show a lot, but I did like that advice he gave.

Father God, I pray that Your Loving hand will be upon rocking4christ's life and his heart. I pray Father that he will feel your love and your comfort showering down upon him. Hold him tightly Lord as he goes through this difficult time and father please help him to keep his focus up on YOU and You alone. I pray oh God that you will open the flood gates of heaven and let your holy spirit pour out upon roching4christ. Let this be a time in his life where he will focus on You, learn all that You want to teach him right now and grow closer to you. Be his comfort, his shield and his strength oh Lord. This is the day that You have made oh Lord, let him rejoice and be glad in it. May the joy of the Lord be his strength.

When you feel that the memories and sadness starts to return, I would suggest putting on some praise music and putting your focus upon the Lord. The more you praise God, the better you feel as He comforts you. Sometimes the best medicine is taking our mind off our situation and transfer our focus to Jesus. I pray things get better for you quickly. I know this is a very difficult thing to go through.

I can identify with you my brother I was some what in the same spot. i have been with this guy for almost a year and we are engaged. we haven't talked in about two months. I got so consumed with him that God moved him out of the way. God is a jealous God and won't have anyone or anything before HIM. Sometimes we lose our focus and HE has to get it back. So no matter what it may look like God is always in control. I pray that you will be healed and peace that surpasses all understanding. GOD BLESS
 
No no... it's good to cry. Let it all out, really feel the pain and sarrow too, really take it all in and just know that it's a natural part of life. In order to have joy there's got to be sorrow too right. I'm in the same boat right now in a different area. I was riding high, now it feels like my whole world is falling apart. But I noticed something tonight. I thought to myself "wow this is actually how life goes, ups and downs, so don't get all wrapped up and absorbed in the problem, just recognize it as just a natural part of life". That's all it is really. And just embrass it. breakups bite though any way you slice it. The best way to get over it is to meet new friends and also keep busy with hobbies and stuff. That way you're not obcessing over her. Also if you chase her she'll only run, if you take a step back and break off all contact, she'll wonder what's going on, why you're not chasing, and she'll miss you and might come back to you. (I'm not saying take her back either though) anyway... dear lord please comfort this person amen.
