I took it as humor and exaggeration. But if just guys are hanging out and they know each other really well, let's say some guys on the same team in high school or young guys in the high school, it's possible that they might pass gas loudly, try to have a contest after eating Mexican food, or something like that. Most groups of guys wouldn't do this, depending on the maturity level and social dynamics of the individuals in the group. But its not the behavior we'd expect of women.

My wife is a really good cook, and she cooks dishes from quite a number of countries, as well. They don't call it 'rijsttafel' in Indonesia, but I've heard those who have been in Holland use that term. I'm not sure what assortment of Indonesian foods they serve together over there in Holland. My wife's beef rendang is especially good, and can compete when compared to high end Padang restaurant food in Indonesia. Her chicken gulai is really good, and I don't think I've ever had any kangkung tauco as good as hers.

Do Asian woman simply flatulate discretely then, in the same way that Japanese women cover their mouths to laugh?

Some men love cooking. My friends Husband cooks all the time because he enjoys doing it and my Nephew has loved cooking since he was a child. They're out there.
 
One of my brother is a chief. Most famous chiefs are men, sooooo....
there is no excuse for men not cooking.....:p

No, I'm talking about water spinach cooked with pickled soy beans. It sounds weird, but it actually takes like some kind of down home cooking.

There is a Chinese soup made from pork and pickled mustard greens that has a 'down home' taste to it, much better than the way mustard greens are cooked in the south. She cooks that, too.

And if you want to taste how red beans are supposed to take, try the soup the Manado people make out of them with all the nutmeg and other spices.

So well said. It is in very poor taste to behave that way, but such is the education and culture of some sectors in society.
 
Oh wow. When I googled 'taco Jesus' for this thread I had no idea that I would find this... Wonder if its good? Lolol.
