They like eating cat biscuits and cat food. They like drinking water and milk.
Keep him in for a few weeks so he knows it is home.

He's too little to send out anyway --- I'd be afraid to.

- Keep food bowl separate from water bowl
If the cat were wild, it would never make a kill near the water source (could contaminate the water)
- Give it a safe space where it can go to be left alone if it wants that
(Preferably somewhere where it has a view, just make sure it doesn't assault you
)

The CUTENESS!!!!!! SOOO JEALOUS!!!I just got a new kitten today!

yes, keeping them very close in the beginning is so important to their trust and faith in us
as we become the head of their 'tribe', daddy/mommy cat indoctrination...
once this is established, along with, when needed scolding/correction/bounderies,
this begins their Trust/place with us within the pride, they begin to feel safe with us
for their well-being and safety...
pretty much all of the keepers that we have had, we started out this way, and
the results were that they always desired to stay close, whether inside or out...
all of our cats eventually became 'outside-cats', because this is what they preferred,
and we always allowed them their choice to their natural preference of the environment
they were most comfortable with...
almost all our of cats were 'drop-offs' and readily took to us, and we have had some of the
most amazing animals imaginable, and we thank Jesus for this...
as we become the head of their 'tribe', daddy/mommy cat indoctrination...

By an "outside" cat, do you mean a cat that is free to go in and out of the house?
I would agree with this except for the night. I think they should be in the house at night.

I'm worried he might become "wild".
My daughter used to leave one out at night and eventually he hardly came around anymore and he lost his loving ways.
It might have been just that particular cat... I'm not sure.
What's really funny is that she is not an "animal person"... she swore we'd never have dogs in the house (we've had 3 so far) and she doesn't really like cats... says she's really allergic to them....
then this kitty.... our older "outdoor" cat died a few years back at the young age of about 21 or so...
I think he's gonna be with us for a while...
