Last year, I made paintings for my friends on greeting cards.
I am not a painter, but I was inspired by the gouache technique, to imitate it with wax crayons. Painting with wax crayons is so wonderful but at the same time very hard.
It seems kiddish and simplistic, but it lacks the fluidity that comes with other mediums.
I was surprised at it's difficulty, being that the other reason I chose wax crayons was because I had never really tried painting anything before.
This was the painting I did for my friend. Before giving it to her, I prayed a blessing over it
I did that for all the greeting cards I gave my friends.

I hope someday I can improve my skills to better capture God's beautiful creation.
And more so, I hope I get the courage to write what God has done for me in it too.
Meanwhile, I think I got a sudden burst of inspiration to write poems inside these greeting cards....
