I feel a pain on the inside.
A pain so sharp it makes my chest sink.
When you walk into a room
And you know that the person they are all looking at isn't you,
When you stand next to your sister and you know that her light shines brighter than yours ever will,
And once she is in the right with GOD...
There will be no leaving the darkness of her overwhelming shadow.
And you know that those thoughts are selfish and wrong,
But your mind closes to reason.
What do I have to offer?
I'm not smart,
Talented,
Funny,
Strong,
Or pretty.
I am prideful,
Weak,
Sad,
Insecure,
Lazy,
And lost.
If beauty doesn't matter then why am I still alone?
Who is looking at me?
Who would want to?
Who am I?
I look around and I don't see anybody wanting to be around me.
No friends,
No family,
And no man.
How can I touch anybody's heart if nobody cares about what I have to say?
LORD!
What do you want me to do?
If I never run into a true Christian to mentor me,
And my own personality betrays me,
Then what can I do?
A pain so sharp it makes my chest sink.
