A righteous man's prayer for the sick (James 5:14-16)

14. Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: 15. and the prayer of faith shall save him that is sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, it shall be forgiven him. 16. Confess therefore your sins one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The supplication of a righteous man availeth much in its working. (James 5:14-16)

So as we know, if today's elders do this, that they pray for sick, then most likely God won't heal the sick one, and why, because they are not righteous man's, in true faith.

But still nearly no one seems to care about that, but you just go along with the others even though there are serious sign's about that, that God do not hear your prayers.

If God do not answer to the elders of you church, the most righteous ones, then how about the rest of you, the less righteous in church?

The true signs of Messiah Yeshua's follower are missing today.

You know im going to step out and have some agreement with this post, but say that the elders of many groups are not taught to have faith for healing because or errors in doctrine. It does not mean they are not living godly lives but are limited by lack of true biblical knowledge and the wisdom that comes down from God.

No not always...we are taught to submit to those who are over us in the Lord (which is biblical) but often that means that a certain error of doctrine can go unchallenged ... And the Lord has to raise up those strong enough to go against the grain of tradition (yet do it in a godly way)..I know many old saints, full of the love and peace of God that didn't understand healing....but be sure they was saints of God.

Jesus says, "According to our faith, let it be done." There have been times I've given my physical ailments up to God and He healed very quickly, yet I admit to talking out of both sides of my mouth because I have astigmatism and rather than giving it up to God, I'm constantly looking for new glasses. Shame on me for not putting my faith more into practice.

2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.

I think some on my side of the healing fence, needs to wake up as well.

That seems rather arrogant of you. If you pray for healing will you receive? If not then you are talking down to ppl about the very thing you yourself cannot do. Also you have to consider God's will. Perhaps he is purposely allowing sickness to occur and remain in a person for a divine purpose he sees the bigger picture we do not. Also what do you know of what makes a person righteous? You think simply because they are elders of the church that makes them more righteous? And then you tell us we are less righteous than the elders of the church?

I don't see the righteous because they have a place of authority in the church I see the righteous by what is in their hearts

Many here do this already. I know for me if there is something I can do I am going to do it even if it's just something little, I have offered to donate 100 dollars to a man who was kind enough to help me in my time of need although he refused to take it I offered an older women to mow her giant lawn for free in the blazing heat I always do my best in actual life and here in cc to lift ppls spirits and put a fire in their hearts I am constantly talking to God about how amazing he is and how deeply I love him and care for him and trust me plenty on here do more than all this.

Well, lots of folks claim that they are this or that and basically ready to be written into the bible. So again not sure folks are going to receive you as the messenger of God just because you quote a few scriptures and make the claim to godliness.
