Hi back, my name is Harold and my question to you is can you identify why are shy? I would hate to think its fear. 2Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of sound mind. being shy is so cute but God wants us to jump, shout and sing from the roof tops the good news. Amen

I like a good balance .. I'm sometimes very quiet and observant ... Look at all the information ...then there's times I'm talkative and participate .. Depends what's going on .. Just be who God made you to be , that works best :)

I'm also a person that tends to be quite shy, but once I'm comfortable around someone I can talk their ears off. It would really depend though for me. I don't think I'd mind being with a shy person so long as I understood that there were just shy in general and not saying much because they weren't interested in me whatsoever.

Hi!

So I'm just wondering your thoughts. I'm shy until I know you well, then I talk quite a bit! so my question is, do christian guys not like shy/quiet christian girls? OR do some? Thoughts?

Personally, I like a girl that's shy and quiet... it's a really nice thing actually lol You girls can talk a lot.. most of you anyways. So, you being quiet and shy... does not only sorta count as a + but I personally think it's cute and adorable. =]

So, I'm sure there are guys will definitely like that about you. =]

I can relate. I am shy and very quiet.

Oh sorry I thought this was the April Fools thread.

I agree with what a few have said. Being shy and
quiet is good. A quiet woman is able to sit and listen
to what God has to say without opening her mouth to
say what she thinks God would say.

I must be hanging around all the wrong guys then, because they've all pursued the outgoing girls. I haven't been pursued so I kind of have this mindset that being shy is bad/unwanted. Glad to read that it's not. :)

I don't know you well, but I've seen a few of your posts. I think your nice enough to pursue.. pretty and shy and smart. So, nah shyness is nice... it makes a girl seems more feminimiinininininninim and gentle. =]

So, yeah God Bless ya and your probably thousands of miles away... so dont take me too serious

Nailed it, BOG.

I actively avoid loud and obnoxious girls, partially because there's nothing unique about them, and partially because they're incredibly annoying. To me, a treasure is that quiet girl who perhaps isn't noticed at first. The one that others missed and looked over because she wasn't actively trying to make herself the center of attention.

The girl who is shy, quiet, and reserved, yet will open up to the right person and share her kindness is the real type of woman guys should be looking for. You know that they would respond to your loyalty and kindness with the same. Unfortunately it's kind of hard to find those types most of the time.

[SUP]James 1:19 [/SUP]Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: (KJV)

This is likely the reason why God gave us two ears and one mouth. You can't really listen if one talks too much and then the focus is on oneself. You might be fortunate to context switch that fast (i.e. multi-task) but I'm not one of them.

I like shy girls more than non-shy girls, they're hard to find sometimes, though. They're usually kinder, more genuine, and more loyal.

While not entirely agreeing, as for the statement "Guys like girls." ...ditto, truth, I hear that, and *insert* whatever else. That said, confidence really does make a lot of difference in the way people see you (guy or girl), at least initially.
