Hello Everyone,
Recently I've made a nice experience that has taught me a lot and so I decided to share with you all.
Usually I tend to be an introvert, a solitary person, and that means I usually like staying by myself most of my time. I had been living a christian life without church for four years before joining a church again and I had to because God has drawn me to it as He talked to my heart and later He used people to help me understand it with prophecies too.
As I began to join a church, I started to take part in many activities in it, and since then I can honestly say that I started to miss my time alone by myself. The worst thing was that everything I did in church was not pleasant anymore, but I started to consider the activities as something one "must" do and began to feel tired of all of this.Slowly things got better and better and I asked God to lead me through this rough time with joining a church.
At the beginning of summer, I've felt bad again and wanted to give up on activities and stuff in church. My church group would often ask me why I was not joining them often and they were really sincere in being happy to see me going to the seaside with them. I usually replied I needed some time alone and, added to this, I didn't feel physically very well that time to go to the sea with them.
As I prayed alone, I complained a lot to God and asked him the reason why He put me into a church again . I missed my time when I was without church and I could stay with God much more time and felt free in not having a daily routine with church. I like the church and all of the activities, but because my life was changing, I felt like i was losing my personal time. When I did this prayer in tears for how i fell, the answer was very simple: "Learn to appreciate what you have". When I realized this answer, I've felt disappointed because honestly I haven't thought that the fact of being so much alone with God had got me far from God's project in a group and, added to this, I could understand I've never appreciated fully what God had provided me through church. As I complained to God, I was denying His goodness to me, like having friends to rely on, people to love and be loved, to learn from others, to put into action the gifts God gave me as well as encouraging others with their own gifts. Being alone with God is a wonderful thing and I have learnt a lot of things in that period of time, but since I had to join a church again, I had to change my perspective of christian life in relating with people, building faith together and learning from each other : not a very easy thing lol.
As I realized this answer to my prayer, I decided to not relying on my emotions much, to believe in this opportunity to stay together as a blessing God wanted me to have and so I changed perspective.I decided and took a firm choice inside my heart to go on the next meeting on saturday at the beach with my group.
That Saturday, I was feeling ill,but instead on accepting another day alone at home, I asked my pastor to pray for me and prepared myself to go at the beach. I needed to go by car, and it had a problem with passenger car window: once you rolled it down, it didn't work anymore lol. As I went and took a church friend of mine, He rolled down the window, so it didn't work.Because of the open car window, I needed to find a safe place where to park once I reached the beach. When I arrived, there was a very long queue of cars waiting to find a place to park, I didn't feel very well and plus I had to fix this window problem. I felt led in my heart to pray for all of this and as I started to find a place, someone warned me that it was not allowed to park there. I decided to let my friend go and join the group and, in the meantime, I would have found a place where to park. As He went out of the car, I started praying and asking God to help me. It took some minutes before finding a good place where to park. As I parked the car, I felt bad, discouraged and tired and made this prayer: "God, I've believed you, I've come here and now I need a miracle with this window. Thank you." As I started to push the button of the window, It worked! That was a real miracle to me, because honestly I wasn't going to feel very safe in letting the car window open there. I thanked God and went to join my friends.
That day I felt more alive in staying with my friends, I had the opportunity to meet a good friend of mine and could get close to others easily. It was a blessing: we enjoyed staying at the seaside, we played some games, met new people, I've talked with a church member and could know this person more and helped each other with suggestions and me and all the group ate pizza on the beach. I appreciated all of this, especially the part where I ate pizza lol.
By this experience, I have realized that very often one has to choose between the own emotions or God's will, between appreciating the good things one has or the own needs.
Christian life is a walk everyday, with ups and downs, with faith and doubt, but in the end, God is sovereing and, If we allow Him, He leads us in the goodness He prepares for us.
God Bless You All.
