I always tell new people that, but sorry, in the fun of this thread it slipped past me.
OH Jesus Christ here we go I don't care if it's a sin or not I'm asking what you would think about it if you saw it and second I'm not Jewish the Mosaic law don't apply to me. Even if it did my tattoos aren't for the DeadLev 19:28 Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD.

Based on this one verse, I really do not think God would approve of it.
The most evil thing I can think of is a man in a suit with a nice haircut so it works both ways@legion
While the heretic hunters aside has been entertaining, I do want to actually answer your question and then add a little more.
First, if I saw a guy with a hebrew word and cross tattoo, I would probably assume he was a Christian. I know there's plenty of Christians out there that are into decorating with a hebrew word here and there because it's a Bible language (and maybe because it looks kind of cool or it can let their actual witness be a bit hidden since most people can't read hebrew words). I would say that @WiselyWoven made a very well referenced case for the reason tattoos might not be as innocuous as most modern people think and if I were thinking about getting one I'd want to look into some of those sources before making a final decision. I know there are some things that have been used for ungodly purposes that are not in an of themselves ungodly and can be used for godly purposes and there are some things that have their entire origin out of worship of other gods and really can't be repurposed. I don't know which category tattoos fall into.
My bigger concern is that in naming your business and in designing your tattoo and the pages and pages of thread that have followed, I'm starting to see a pattern of you like to be confusing, controversial and a bit of a shock jock type. And you seem drawn to symbolism that is rather anti-Christian. Naming your business after the demons in a Bible story is iffy, but when we look at the logo in the place you'd be (smoking the ribs) there's an evil looking troll monster. Is that what you'd choose to represent yourself? Do you think any church when looking for a caterer for some event would choose that company? Similarly with this tattoo, of all the words you could have chosen to have written in Hebrew you've chosen heretic. Now a random hebrew word plus cross makes me think Christian, if I saw someone with the word heretic scribbled across a cross where I could read it, I wouldn't be sure who that was: someone who was formerly proud of his rebellion against God now trying to show that he's under the blood or someone who used to be a Christian now flaunting that he has abandonded his faith and turned his back on God. If I put a lot of thought into it I'd probably think the latter since the former could have easily had a solid cross tattooed in or at least a strikethrough of the word heretic.
I'm still giving you the benefit of the doubt that you're sincere rather than deliberate troll, but if that's so then what is your purpose? Why ask about a tattoo that no one will see? Why talk about leaving false clues to cause confusion? Why ask for opinions about something you've already decided to do that you know will be controversial? And why not heed the feedback you receive? These just aren't the actions of someone who wants to show love to God and to his fellow people. So what's your purpose in doing this? What's motivating you?

Obviously you missed the Jesus Revolution during the 'Boomer' reign, out of which came Pastor Greg Laurie, a......'Boomer'Anyone over 40 is a Boomer. 57 in fairness you might be like the start of Gen X, but honestly they're even worse than the Boomers, all the evil but none of the style, just a bunch of Karens and heretics. Also frankly what is he your alt account and you got confused and forgot you were logged into this one lol?
Wrong, we have to use the talents and God wants us to do judgment, God is a God of judgment and he loves right judgment for when there is right judgment there is order and peace. To everyone that has more will be given but to everyone that has not even that which he thinks he has shall be taken away from him and given to those that do actually believe in the true God, praise Jesus.
Hey that was my thread, I was asking about that movie.Obviously you missed the Jesus Revolution during the 'Boomer' reign, out of which came Pastor Greg Laurie, a......'Boomer'![]()
Oh can you post in my Jesus Revolution thread if you haven't already. I may have some more questions about it.I can't speak for all boomers, lol, and btw that movie is about the life of my pastor Greg Laurie, a boomerIt's a really good movie btw.
Yes, Baby Boomers—particularly those born between 1955 and 1964 (Generation Jones)—are considered the original "yuppies" (young urban professionals) of the 1980s. While the stereotype implies a shift from 1960s idealism to 1980s materialism, yuppies were a subset, not the entirety, of the 77 million boomers. (a professional answer lol)Hey that was my thread, I was asking about that movie.
Boomers are just late aged yuppies right?
Sure, but tomorrow and I will be glad to answer questions about itOh can you post in my Jesus Revolution thread if you haven't already. I may have some more questions about it.
