Those who place religious practices and the commandments of men over the word of God walk in blindness....The Pharisees done this and Jesus called them the Blind leaders of the blind<----both will fall into the ditch!

The Messiah IS "the prophet we must hear and obey"

Deuteronomy 18:18-19, "I will raise up for them a Prophet like you from among their brothers, and I will put My words in His mouth, and He will tell them everything I command Him. Whoever will not listen to My words, which He speaks in My Name, I will judge him for it"

"listen" is word #8085 שָׁמַע shama` {shaw-mah'}

Another truth we can glean for the word.....

The just shall live by his faith........without faith it is impossible to please God....!

That God loves us unconditionally. That God on Judgment will involve all circumstances. And that God created life, with its beauty and diversity.
 
At the word "obedience" revolves in my stomach. For in the LDS obedience was always required. You could not question, do not think for yourself. You had to believe and accept everything at face value. My father was like that. His will was law. According to the patriarchal order, as the Bible describes.
Blind obedience is harmful. In Germany that led to the Nazi crimes.

That is one of the final messages of the angel that flies thru the midst of heaven in the end...Worship God! Worship him who made the heavens and the earth. God alone deserves out worship for sure!
 
Well...another eternal truth we can agree on.....

Repent...for the kingdom of God is at hand.........!
Bring fort fruit meet for repentance....

Jesus cursed the fig tree because it had no fruit on it....a child of God will have at least one piece of fruit!
 
God has not given us a spirit of fear. But an ABBA Father..

In the grace you are, having been saved out of faith and that not of yourselves...it is the GIFT of God and not of works lest any man should boast.

AMEN and right along with John 3:16, 36...Titus 3:5 and about 100 more other verses that teach grace dia faith based upon Jesus and his work, mercy, faith, justifying blood etc.
 
Prov. 19:23 "Who fears the LORD will have a long, happy and peaceful life."
 
God has many names, I am in the mood for a big juicy steak right now *thanks DC!!!! And God is a personal God who loves his children..

oh and, I thank God for this thread to give me a break when I GO NUTS!! lolol
