A very sad mom

I feel so broken hearted with a situation that is going on with one of my children. Their fine, like they aren't hurt or anything but i just feel like the choices that are being considered are so completely wrong and i don't know how to stop my child from making a horrible mistake. We've talked openly and just the thought of my child contemplating this breaks me inside. Sometimes i wonder if i'm good enough to be a parent. Please pray for me and my family. Thank you.

I love to see this. I love to hear these things, about family, it helps me to understand God more. And in Jesus Christ there are plenty of answers. I will share with you this:

Don't you see, mother, that God feels the same way about his children. And God knows what is in the minds of his children AT ALL TIMES. Does this make God bad? No!!! It does make the Lord sad to see his children this way. I have shamed my Father many times. I hope sometimes I did not ever sin, and still I yield to the flesh, but I immediately know I can go to my Father who understands and will help me to correct it.

There is a very sad thing that I have witnessed, and please be still in this. You love your children so much, this is obvious, yet, whether child or parent each individual person will answer for their OWN deeds. The iniquity of the parents will not be on the children, and the iniquity of the children will not be on the parents. Now we see the purpose of chastisement at an early age, even in teen age. We know that flesh wars against the Spirit and that this thing is an evil spirit right? But don't you have power in the Spirit? There are weapons you yourself have. Of course it is written about them, and they are activated many times by prayer, but mostly by Faith. Well my friend, may Jesus bless you.
 
Dear lord I pray for this mothers child that you guide them,protect them lord..i pray lord that you help this mother and mend her broken heart and help her have patience and hope in you god that her child will make the right decision..please speak to her child lord so that he or she may see the right choice clearly..god is good!! In your precious name, amen
 
I see your love for your Children, it is amazing.
All i can say to you is give everything about the situation to the Lord, He shall know what to do, for His plans and actions are good and prosperous, and they bring joy.

Hi monica, you are a good mother and do love your children in Jesus!
I see this in you, in all your posts.
Remember when I went through something like this with my son?
The hardest part is giving one's child to Jesus and trusting in His care.
You and others helped me in this with my son, and Jesus brought him home.
Jesus will take care of your child.
You and your child are in my daily prayers as long as needed in Jesus!

Thank you so very much everyone for your prayers. @Pickles, i do remember when you were going through problems with your son, and i'am so happy Jesus brought him back. That just made me smile :) I just feel like how can i allow my child to do something that is going to only hurt them in the end. I gave into the temptations of the world at a very young age and i stayed in the world for a very long time and i don't want that for my own kids, they deserve better. Thank you again, reading these words of encouragement is good start to my day.

Every parent has experienced what you are going through Monica ..... and some of us continue to go through it still, including yours truly. Pickles wisely said it..... entrust them to the Lord. As simple as this may sound, it involves a faith and trust in Christ to do what we as loving parents can't help but try to do .... and that is to control all situations that we know are not beneficial to our children. They will make their own mistakes, as did we. Pray for them always (I know you already do :)) and know that Jesus loves them even more than we do. A broken and contrite heart He will not turn away. Be still and know that He is God. I will pray for you and your family :)

I totally understand what you are going through. I remember going through this with one of my daughters who is now 18. I know as a mom you only want the best for your children and seeing them make "not the best" of choices really devastates us! I will pray for you right now and your family. I know how a heart breaks when we see our kids going through things like this.

Know you are not alone & God can get you & them through anything!

Hi Monica, the hardest place for a parent is when you can no longer give and make the right choice for them.
I still cringe at some of the choices my children make.
But, God Our Father helped me see why He gave us the choice.
Simply because it is the heart that must grow in faith, hope and love for doing what is good and right.
And like another parent said, they will resent you.
Giving them to God Our Father places them in the best care!
Ill be praying in Jesus!
