'The worst show I've ever seen' — With Roseanne out of the picture, viewers hate 'The Conners'

Yahoo ^

Roseanne isn’t back, but The Conners are. The highly anticipated follow-up show premiered Tuesday night to lower-than-expected ratings but critical approval. Besides tuning in to find out how the show did away with Roseanne, what did viewers actually think about the show? The consensus? History revised itself again.

The Connors has been so succesful that it'll receive an even bigger second season.

"Continuing the story of the Conner family without its matriarch was a risky proposition, and, thankfully for ABC, it worked. Spinoff series The Connors has done well and, not surprisingly, ABC would like a second installment. "

"Here is why pursuing a second season of The Conners has been a no-brainer for ABC. "
