For those enslaved to the Law, what do you think of this?

Tamar. Seduced Judah. Pretended to be a harlot. So lying and adultery. Yet she is in the linage of Jesus.
Ruth the Moabitess. Moabites were expressly forbidden from becoming Israelites. She snuggles up to a tipsy Boaz and they get married. Ruth is in the lineage of Jesus.
Rahab. Harlot, lied about the Israelite spies. Two commandments broken. She is a harlot, a liar and a Canaanite. Hardly the kind of person you'd want in your family tree.
Bathsheba. Adulterer. Mother of Solomon, the wisest man ever.

Four of 4 women in Matthew's genealogy are sinners. Yet they were welcomed into the covenant and even greater, the lineage of the mother of Jesus. Two of the women were not Israelites.

Ask yourselves why God accepted law breakers into His family. Why did He not command Israel to enforce His holy law on those sinners? Ruth should have been set back to Moab and the other three put to death.

All have sinned and come short of the glory of God.

How did any person be in the family of God but sin can be forgiven.

God blessed Israel His chosen people.

One man and one woman for marriage but Jacob had 12 sons with 4 different women but God was not going to throw His sons away and it was not their fault.

All the people in the lineage of Jesus that did wrong would of repented and made right with God eventually which is what matters.

Ruth was a Moabitess woman which the Moabites were heathens and an enemy of Israel at times.

But Ruth turned to the God of Israel saying to Naomi your God will be my God and your people my people clearing her before she became in the lineage of Jesus.

Which there was Gentile blood in the bloodline of Chist so that the shed blood of Jesus could wash away the sins of the Gentiles.

Which if a heathen as bad as a Moabite can be saved than any Gentile can be saved.

Rahab protected the Israel spies which God approved of it because she was protecting the chosen people of God and showed she honored the God of Israel.

And if lying it is forgiven.

Even though David sinned obtaining Bathsheba as a wife God would not punish his son and David repented.

King David was spared execution for his adultery with Bathsheba because he confessed and genuinely repented when confronted by the prophet Nathan.

And Bathsheba would of turned to God and repented being married to David.

Who is God supposed to work with especially in the Old Testament where they could not have the Spirit.

King Solomon sinned big time by all the wives and concubines he had which God was not pleased with him and for all his worldliness of enjoying fleshy pleasures but in the book of Ecclesiastes he repented and said it is all vanity and obeying God's commandments were the whole duty of man.

Tamar was not stoned because she produced Judah's personal items (his seal, cord, and staff) as proof that he was the father of her child.

Realizing his own hypocrisy and failure to give her his youngest son, Judah canceled her execution and declared her more righteous than himself.

All these women would of been right with God to be in the lineage of Jesus.

There is such thing as repentance and I think a stoning offense would require a certain period to repent and if not then stoning.

Not just snatch them up as soon as they committed adultery but gave them space to correct it either by repenting or putting away that wife.

Like the man that that was stoned for picking up sticks on the sabbath day but I am sure it was not his first offense but he kept ignoring it.

Like God gave Sodom and Gomorrah a chance to repent and Nineveh a chance to repent and did not put judgement on them right away.

I am sure all 4 women were made right with God and qualified to be in the bloodline of Christ.

What about David adultery, and Solomon many wives and concubines, and whoever else man in the bloodline of Christ being there which it was corrected with them.

So why not the women.

Who can God use if everyone has to be pure and commit no sins and does not get to correct it.

Any person in the bloodline of Christ corrected any wrong doing they did to be right with God.

If you don't want to obey God, no one will stop you.

But why does it bother you when other people obey God and encourage it? You don't want God to be happy?
