Yeah, but the whole there will be riots thing is already happening now. I honestly don't know if Zimmerman will even be out alive or whether he will be even killed if acquitted at all. His family is completely under protection now. People are out to kill right now. This won't definitely end pretty. It will all be a terrible ending. And what about the Jurors on the case? What will be of them? I wouldn't want my name to be mentioned at the end of the day. I would probably have done everything I could to get off jury duty for that one.
Sometimes I just wonder if we are just being oblivious to what is the real issue here, which is racial stereotyping and profiling. Instead of making sure this doesn't have to happen to another black man in a hoody (which I have plenty of especially during the winter), we would like to just kill and create racial war. Sure racism will always persist, but we don't do anything to stop the source of racial stereotypes (media). We get mad at a person who sees black people in a hoody as dangerous, but the rap stars and actors on television say that's gangsta. What's up? A hoody is just a hoody, yeah. But when people see a hoody and see it on a guy who is selling drugs and shooting guns, then what are people to say. We have glamorized it too. Those guys are heroes because they can rhyme and rap. Yet they are spreading a false message, and they are harming black culture all the way.
What happened to the shows like the Cosby Show, where black people were given great honor and dignity? Those shows are basically non-existant now. Now all television wants are shows that make fun of all races, playing funny stereotypes and sexual innuendos. Not helping, media. I feel like the black media helps kick us down, and they don't care. It stinks.
I think that would help stop a lot of the stupid racism that persists right now. Not all, but a lot.

You know that his "fb profile pic" is not the real one right? He never had a grill or flicked the camera...Someone did that just to smear Trayvons name. Trayvon is not a "wanna-be" gang banger or thug...just followed after buying ice tea and skittles. Stop making assumptions and do your research.

The closing arguments were today and the prosecutions star witness Rachel(can't remember her last name) had some pretty harsh comments made about her. This was their OWN witness and the attorney indicated she wasn't the most sophisticated person in the world and threw out she was of Haitian decent. I don't know how many people caught that comment but if I was Rachel I'd be highly ticked off. His delivery was rather racist bc they wanted the jury to excuse her "ignorance" bc of her cultural background.
-So I take it you just dont care about People killing people (He was half hispanic btw, so that blows your "white" idea out the window) You dont care about Troy Davis, who was wrongly accused and proved Not-Guilty but to be put to death for "no reason?" Do you really care that if Trayvon killed zimmerman (with a gun, "defending" himself), Trayvon would be in Jail-No questions asked....You dont care that there was a app called "angry trayvon" created on google play/Iphone app store (which was pulled)....You dont care that I saw my friend goto Prison for years for robbing one person (100% hispanic) and I know a "white friend" under the influence of crack only got one year in jail due to "first degree theft?"

Truly it is but a local criminal case. If the U.S. wasn't so obsessed with race symbolism, this case wouldn't have made it past the local paper.
