The sun rose above the horizon. It’s light was what woke Adam and Eve. They slept with no blankets or cover, they did not need them. The temperature and humidity was that which accommodated their nakedness and the lush ground cover provided them a plush sleeping mat.
Adam smiled as he looked at Eve. Her appearance always brought him a feeling of happiness and joy. He did not actually even know why. It was the same as when he viewed a particularity beautiful flower or a bird with resplendent and colorful plumage.
They ate of the abundance of fruits from the myriad of fruit trees plentiful in the garden. Adam glanced at Eve and inquired; “What would you like to do today?” With an impish grin she replied; “I would like to visit Barney!”
Adam smiled at her when responding; “Ok, we will pay a visit to Barney today”.
Barney was the largest creature in the garden. Today he would be identified as a member of a “kind” called sauropods. They were massive creatures which could get up to 130 feet long and weigh 100 tons. He made his home in and about a small lake that was close to where Adam and Eve lived.
Adam and Eve approached Barney with absolutely no hesitation on their part. Barney like wise showed no fear or trepidation as they came toward him. He actually looked forward to their visits as they always found the tastiest plants that they would feed to him. Barney lowered his massive head to allow them to pet his brow. Eve took advantage of this and climbed up upon his neck. Unbeknownst to either Adam or Barney was that Eve had pulled some reeds that were about to flower, full of pollen, and carried them with her while climbing up upon Barney’s neck. While Adam petted the gentile giants head, Eve had moved into a position where she could wave the reed right next to the behemoths nostril. Barney’s response was predictable, he sneezed. And as Adam was standing directly in front of him, Adam was instantaneously covered in Barney slime!
At the sight if this, Eve burst out laughing with such gusto that she fell from Barney’s neck into the pond. Her laughter was so raucous that even Barney seemed caught up in it and seemed to make a sound that could only be described as chortling, a very deep and resonating reverberation, as Adam stood covered in sauropod secretion!
Adam jumped into the pond to wash off the slime and seeing Eve swam up behind her. He lifted her high and tossed her a short distance from where he stood into the water. Eve was still giggling as she broke the surface. She swam back to Adam and embraced him, he now laughing with her. They continued to play in and around the behemoth who took great care to not move unexpectedly and possibly harm the tiny creatures as they frolicked around his massive legs which matched a tree trunk in their girth.
After a period of time they stopped swimming and located some choice plants that they knew were Barney’s favorite. As Eve patted the creatures head she said; “Thank you Barney, that was fun today!” As they fed the plants to him while patting his head they heard a very distinctive noise emanating from the massive creature which could only be described as contentment. They said their goodbyes to the behemoth and returned to their sanctuary, joyful from the days adventure.
