i jst want to add in no way do I think the alternative living in poverty and struggling with maintaining a home is any better than a comfortable life and being looked after by paid carers.

Its just when you find out the CEO made billions from this business and then is banned from buliding more to make even more profit you kind of wonder how much are they really giving back.

Also when you see high rises buldings being made for elderly who eventually may need walkers and wheel chairs in a few years time you wonder about the fire risk for people who cant run down the stairs. Cos its not designed for them really its designed to make the. maximum profit.

Having a fire drill with the elderly is a bit of a nightmare..and some of these resdiences are packing in over 400 people in new high rises. I guess they need somwhere to live though and theres safety in numbers.

Im watching one being built just up the road from me.,the bible college sold their student flats, busted them down and are going to put up high rise apartments.

In general Christians arent sold on assisted living because our help comes from the Lord.
so if you are coming here trying to give advice about retirement and boasting about how many funerals you directed and now you are rich and retired from it then I dont think people are going to hear you out sorry.

God gives grace to the humble. That has always been the way He abhors pride.

Being humble serves no good purpose
some villages put up the age to 75 (used to be over 55 you could reside there) and what the CEOs are wanting is people to just live there a shorter time so they can make more profit.

quality of life is a bit down on their list of priorities. as long as people are fed, housed and entertained they will, stay in business. It looks alright on the surface, but you soon find out working for these institutions a rotten core underneath. some will pay $1000 kickback to recommend a friend. I think its questionable really but it suits a certain kind of person above a certain income bracket.
You are cynical, wrong & generalizing.

This Forum must be based in the UK because many of the posts don't fit with U.S. Christians. My worst fears about this forum and some of it's self righteous members have been confirmed.

you said you arent a christian so why do you come here? Just wondering, are you trying to sell a lifestyle or something?

why do you assume all christians come from the US?
why do you think christians are self righteous? we arent, we follow Jesus and die to self.

Don't fit with U.S.A. Christians? Just what sets apart U.S.A. Christians from any other nationality of Christians??
