Do it for at least 3 days and you will be amazed on how much better you will feel. You can drink water or in my case I drank green tea the whole time.

I have done extensive fasting.

Start out with one day, especially of you have never fasted and you are on a typical American diet.
But what Grace said is correct, the longer you fast the more the benefits, yet you may not be ready to do a 3 day fast right off the bat.
If you decide to get into fasting for health reasons as a way of healing or retracing, the benefits will be beyond what you probably can imagine.
Still you have to be smart about the way you do it, and even when you do it.
If you break a fast longer then 3 days incorrectly, you can hurt yourself.

Are you well?
Do you want to do only a water fast? Or a fresh veggie juice fast. Or another more mild type of fast?

Any questions feel free to ask...

i do not want to be critical of anyone, especially someone who is fasting, as to many Christians do not fast, or or do not fast enough. So I certainly respect any Christian, fasting, whatever the fast is (within reasonable boundaries of course). I also will add that I do not know the specific objectives of why Grace777 fasted on green tea.

Still, and here comes the "but" - (sorry)...but as a general rule, I certainly do not suggest anyone fast using green tea. It has enough caffeine in it to essentially negate many of the good things a fast does to clean up the body.

The chemical compound caffeine also negates some of the spiritual benefits of the fast.

I agree with the idea that the amount of caffeine in green tea could affect some people. This didn't for me and I have fasted for 2 weeks with great results.

So, I agree that caffeine can interfere with some people and the thing to do is ask the Lord about the way that "you should go".

Pure distilled water definitely works great.

If you google fasting with green tea - you get both sides of the coin. Some are for it - others aren't. Let the Lord show you "your way to go."

What about people who are borderline diabetics, or who have seizures? I get shaky if I don't eat at least once a day..

Have done it, it isn't as difficult as it sounds. Whenever you get hungry, drink water and fill yourself up with water.

Also don't think about eating, just think about the stuff you do :)

If it's a biblical fast, i.e. you are doing it for spiritual reasons.
Then it's beneficial if you set up a plan for the day of how you will organise your time.

It could include prayer times, worship times, bible reading,
reading a Christian book, doing a word study, watching a christian movie,
or listening to a sermon etc. Also maybe add a few power naps etc.
The time passes so quickly you won't have time to think of food.
