When you've been beaten down and hurt,

When you feel like no one's on your side,

When you try and try, but don't succeed...

Don't lose faith in God. He is able and mighty. Perhaps disappointments is a way of life telling us, that God has something better for us ? :)

Perhaps, you cried so you understood what exactly to say when someone else was hurting deep inside.

Here's something to encourage you. This is about Faith.

A deformed, two legged dog named Faith, who was rescued when her own mother tried to suffocate her. She learnt to walk on two legs. A rare bipedal dog.

And her happiness and doggy nature brought smiles to countless people, especially soldiers returning after service with their own disabilities.

She died recently, but her story is still very beautiful :)

Excerpt -

"Faith gained celebrity status for her work with U.S. soldiers, and she and Jude often traveled to airports, USOs and other places where they would find injured or returning soldiers. Her positive attitude, even in the face of her disability, made a huge impression on the troops and earned her the title of honorary E5 Sergeant, out of Fort Lewis. Four thousands troops attended the ceremony."

Faith, the two-legged dog who inspired millions, dies surrounded by love. . . and cheese! | Animal Wellness

5-Year-Old Girl With Autism Paints Some of the Most Beautiful Paintings You’ve Ever Seen

set_iris_painting640.jpg

Iris Grace is a 5-year-old who lives with her mom, her dad, and her cat in Leicestershire, England. In December 2011, Iris was diagnosed with autism, which affected her ability to communicate, caused her to become “desperately distressed” when she would interact with other children, and resulted in certain obsessive behaviors.
“She is now starting to speak but that doesn’t come easily to her and she has great trouble with interacting with others,” her mom, Arabella Carter-John, explains on Iris’ website. “But [she] expresses herself through movement and art.”

Iris likes nature and flowers and reading and dancing, but her favorite thing to do is paint. Her mom says she has an “incredible concentration span of around 2 hours each time she paints.”
And painting helps with her speech therapy and joint attention.

Arabella says that Iris has “an understanding of colours and how they interact with each other.” Which is a bit of an understatement: Iris’ paintings are truly remarkable and have sold for thousands of dollars in the UK and around the globe, from the U.S. to Asia.

Thank you for both these stories Rachel. I have also been inspired by the story of Nick Vujicic. Check out his testimony. :)

I LOVE Nick Vujicic :)

He's such an inspiration!

Whenever I am down and upset, I try to think of people who are suffering from more misfortune than ourselves.
It snaps me out of my self pity and wallowing, almost immediately.

It's a good reminder for us to be grateful for whatever God has done for us.

We need to be thankful to God everyday.

Overcoming hopelessness, overcoming depression, anger and bitterness, all that is possible through God!

There are so many people suffering around us today. I think that we've all been given an opportunity to share what God has done for us, with them.

To help others, to show them the love and compassion , which we learnt through Jesus - that is such a privilege!

Wow! Why didn't I have such good Physics teachers when I was in school. I was always interested in Physics but my teachers were so bad. :(
