i dont like that i dont think..... im not a dog.... i dont need to be groomed

Once a good relationship is established age is not a difference really. I tend to gravitate toward Women younger than me but the ones I know older than me are married or are getting married so it depends on your surroundings as well.Its also a connection I know some nice girls we talk yada yada but mostly there is no connection if you get what I mean no common interests or goals. If you connect with a person 2 3 years older than you then good for you but there may be someone 8 to 10 years older than you that you connect with the best. Main thing is for me. Are they a beliver do they share my beliefs?
Just cause a person is older does not make them better or if they are younger than the other. Its a respect for the other person who they are what they know so on.
 
Ya have to have 'stuff' in common or else you'll end up annoying the noogers out of each other (this could pose a problem if someone is too old or too young for ya)........PLUS even if a guy or girl are fantastic looking......if nothing is going on between the ears, ya soon lose interest........seriously, who wants to answer questions like.....'So what way does the bread go in the toaster again?'.....or......'Which sock is the right sock and which one's the left?............I wanna marry a guy first and foremost who loves God and walking in His will, that's a given.......a close second is a brain.........looks would be a bonus but not the be all and end all.............
 
Fact. Girls brains mature about age 23. Guys about age 25. Don't quote me, I going from memory. Some, never mature at all.
 
I don't think age should matter at all. Why should a number determine whether you end up with the right person for you? I was in a relationship where she was ten years older than me. Everything was great but her family had an issue with me being younger and she allowed them to convince her to go for someone her own age. She is now with someone older and she is unhappy. She tells me she realizes it was a mistake but it is too late to go back there. If you go by a number then you limit yourself from the possibilities that God has out there for you.

Things in common, maturity levels, commitment to each other - thats what is important ;)
 
I've been having a hard time being single. It just feels lonely. I keep telling myself to wait, but with my sister getting married, I feel lonely...

Could you help me with some tips to not be distracted and help me cope?
 
My best tip is to find something to really pour yourself into... for example, if you are in college, really focus on your studies and your goals (academic/professional) for your life after you graduate. Or maybe find a hobby that you can do.

It sounds simple but it worked for me. Hope that helps.
 
If you're going to be chasing something, why not chase God? Not only is it completely edifying and will mature you, it will pass the time until one day He taps you on the shoulder with "the ONE". This is what I'm trying to do right now, myself. Distracting yourself with other pursuits will only last so long. Surround yourself with Godly women and mentors (or in my case, Godly guys) who are mature enough to hold you up in this area. Sometimes it's tough to find people who fit the bill properly - infact, it's always difficult for me - but God ALWAYS provides what we need when we need it... especially when we ask : )

Oh wow, girl....get out there and have fun in life! Your 19! Relaaaaxxxx!! You have PLENTY of time to settle down yet...make the most of your single years, look for ways to serve God and make him the number one priority in your life!

Im 35, still waiting and yes, it is HARD and YES it is lonely at times, BUT it is an ideal time to be open to God using you wherever and whenever he wants and that is exciting!!

So my advice, dont look around at what other people have and play the comparison game, that is only gonna make you feel absolutely miserable! (take it from a gal who has ALL her friends married WITH kids by now!)

Instead be content in who you are and ask God what he wants you to be doing...hang out with ya gal friends, go on a short term mission trip...save for that vacation!! You are a long time married...and with marriage comes responsibilities that you just dont have as a single person, your money and time is not just your own. So embrace being young and single! :-)

Do not think age should make a difference'your heart will know if it's right for you!
