Age gap for a relationship

Thank you Buckeye, I am getting sick of girls saying they think I'm too young fro them when they're not any older than 23, 24 because of past experiences with younger guys. I'm not them...e.o lol.

I was the same buckeyegirl, I shuddered at the thought of dating or even 'liking' a guy that was younger than me, but as I get older and I find that there seems to be less guys over my age who are still single and so I might just have to be more open to the idea of someone younger. I agree its a maturity thing though, I know some guys who are under 25 but they really have their heads screwed on and have an amazing sense of person.

I had a major crush on a guy that was 5 years younger than me - and I think that would have to be the absolute limit for me. Another crush was 8 years older - and again, that is probably my limit. I would still like to find a man who is older - and wiser, and going to take on that protector-role for me. I've been the big sister, the oldest teen in church, the oldest out of my friends and I guess I would like to just be younger for once! But, it might not happen like that...
 
I'd say 3 to 5 years... But hey you cant choose who you will love.
 
For me it's defnitely a mental thing... I would love to get married, being as young as I am, it's the one day I pray most for, and I know God will let me meet my soulmate one day. Whether that person is younger or 10 years older than me, it would be okay, because I know that's who God wants me to be with.

Lol is all I can say..

Personally, I have always dated men older than me (highschool put me off people my own age lol), plus its a maturity balance as well. All the women in my family have married men at least 9 years older. I think it can work very well so long as the older of the two doesnt try to 'parent' the younger one.
 
Some of my best friends in the world for many reasons who have been married for 30 plus years and they have an 11 year age difference. Only God can say what it is. However I think it common for younger people to attract to younger people and older people to older people.
I am not attracted to any 15 yr old's but in 10 years when they are 25 I could be attracted to that same person. (hope that's not to weird for anyone)
I think the older you get the farther apart the age difference can be.
I think it would be tough to be 40ish and date a 19 20 yr old the life experience is so vastly different, I am not sure if they would have alot of commonalty's. Who am I though.
 
If I marry someone 10 years older, then he 's old enough to be my older brother. Wierd. If I marry someone 10 years younger than me, then he's only 12 right now. Even wierder.

My apologies, it was not my intent to be mean. I guess I worded that badly. I didn't mean that she was being childish. I was just commenting on some of the people I have run into. Many fully grown adults have failed to grow up. I merely meant it in the sense of maturity levels between people.
 
Let's see. My stepdad is 31 lol so i won't date anyone his age or older...sooooooooooooo. My limit is about 9 years. :-] I dunno if I'd date someone younger...but I'm not even at the dating part of my life yet. I like reading this stuff tho..so i figured I'd throw in my two cents.
 
I would never judge a potential mate by their age. That would be shallow. I would only judge them by their character.

And how rich they are.
 
It has been my experience that although age may not matter when you "fall in love", it maybe a reason for breaking up at a later date. It all has to do with experience and wisdom. I am fresh out of a relationship and we were 11 yrs apart in age. I love her with every beat of my heart but she told me that my age had something to do with her breaking up with me. So.... ya

You mean rich in spirit I assume.

If to are serious and there is a significant age gap they should discuss the extra possible complication that may make in the relationship.
As is true in any relationship COMMUNICATE honestly and things will be smoother.
