Hmmm...do some of these forum have age restriction? I was just wondering......


Because some of the content in the forum can be classified as adult content.


Just thinking about the kids out there.
 
I believe CC is like most forums. 13 year olds can sign up, but the forums are aimed at older people.

But even if it's sexual in nature, would this still be permissible for 13 years old? Just seem nice to put a restriction like above 21 or the very least 18 years old.

I know what you're saying, but that's a bit much. It shouldn't get the same rating as pornography. First, CC brings a Christian worldview and secondly, it's purposeful and appropriate. Finally, sadly, quite a few teenagers know more about this stuff than some of us older folk, so it's best that they get a Christian perspective, if they have to get one at all. The world is becoming increasingly sexualised. We need a Christian response to this. Still, parents should have a say.
 
I agree with both of you guys but teens should be aware of the sin of fornication sexual immorality etc and what the bi says about it but we should understand that there are younger Christians on here so yes keep it somewhat clean but it is a topic teens need to understand and be aware of.
 
I asked the Mods to create a biblical thread for over 18 but no response.
 
If you have suggestions for the site you should create a thread here, not message them directly. And only one person has the ability to create a new section and that is the site owner, so messaging mods won't get you anywhere to begin with.
Also, when you do make suggestions they don't really answer here often anyways. Unless they feel a need to step in and speak up they don't really interact often in this section.

When I was going through drug rehab at 21-22, I was completely embarrassed on how naive I was about sex. I mean I knew the biological lessons, but nothing about intimacy. So, they were kind enough to set up a night where we could ask questions and they'd answer.

One of the women that helped out there, worked for a girl's group home. Much to the surprise of the center, she brought in all the teen girls. Needless to say, that put a damper on the conversation. BUT it worked out perfectly for me. The language had to be couched in a way as to not go too far for the teen girls, but, because of that, I learned the overall principles of intimacy without specifics. The specifics would have become the instruction sheets on how to do it. The overall principles helped me be more creative.

I think there is something to say about keeping it at that level on this site too. If we understand the Why, we're open to interpret the How. If we simply go into How, we spend less time figuring out the Why. God's morality -- his Law, his ethics -- is more about the Why than the How.
