I think the appeal of Alex Jones is that conspiracy theories make stupid people feel smart. Also he has more lawsuits coming up in September
I believe there are another 10 or 11 plaintiffs suing him

Nah, it doesn't make stupid people feel smart, it creates for them the black and white world they crave, a paradigm by which to make sense of the world.

Even smart people fall for it and Alex Jones gets to laugh all the way to the bank. Basically he is a snake oil salesman for the post modern world.

People go through waves of emotion depending on situation. Chatting while waiting to speak? You might be trying to relax and laugh at a conversation. Then you step up, you have to remember that your child is dead.

That dont mean it (the Sandy Hook shooting) didnt happen (I know that it did indeed happen) or that this fellow in the video is acting (at least in a way to create a hoax, there are many way that people "act") Humans are rather strange when it comes to such things. But that clip is disturbing. I searched out and found the whole video, and the whole thing is disturbing.
What I find most disturbing about the whole mess is the rush to politicize this tragedy. From beginning to end its disgusting. News agencies, politicians, politicos, all of them.
I know why didnt watch the news or listen to talk about this back when it happened. All vile parasites leaching off of the tragedy of young children slaughtered by a mentally ill person who actually needed medical help.
The talk here is about how disgusting Alex Jones is for disparaging these families. It is disgusting to do such things. Its also equally disgusting to rush out and trod these families through this whole media circus mess on day 2. All of them are equally horrible.
I don't even have words right now.
I had an old saying back in my wilder years that is the only way to describe this. "F*** up from the ground up". I havent used that phrase in years, but I have no other words for this.

And I made no comment on what is your personal experience, only that you or other people's reaction/behaviour is not the measuring stick for all people at every moment.

This clip only confirms what you have already accepted as the reality, the clip in and of itself does not prove that he was a crisis actor or that Sandy Hook was a hoax.

I admit that one could also argue he is a narcissist or a sociopath, take a look at the eyes he has that look about him.

Unless someone on this thread has first hand experience of this man it is speculation as to why he was smiling, end of story.

Children died and Alex Jones made a profit on his channel while making other people miserable.

Problems always arise when people take extreme positions, sometimes the truth is more in the middle.

Is Alex Jones a grifter, most likely.
Has he revealed important facts and information over the years, yes.
Is he guilty of defamation, yes.
Should we trust everything he states without further research, no.

Why does everything always have to be black or white, life is not that clear cut.
