From the short life I've lived, I've never had a problem with anyone. I'm pretty sure some people might have found it odd for someone that looks like me to do so. There is nothing wrong with showing a little chivalry.
 
Well, when it comes to holding doors, don't feel special if you see me hold the door for you ladies, I do it for everybody both male and female.

As far as carrying things goes....NO, I will not carry your purse for you XD but if I see you need help carrying anything else, I'm there!

I have never really had a negetive reaction to holding a door for somebody, but I have encountered people who acted as if I owed it to them to hold the door and kinda scoff at me as they walk by.
 
I looooooove a gentleman.( a rough man can have his moments ;) but theres just nothing like agentleman)
I appreciate a gentleman and these qualities

I love when door is opened for me.
i hold doors open also.Its polite.
But a gentleman may open cardoor for you if he is driving and I find that very nice.

I also find it very attractive

Love the gents, love em :)
 

I am a middle aged woman. I very much like "gentlemanly" gestures.

I like the gentlemanly behavior :) I don't see how holding doors or carrying things for me can be offensive.....
 
I appreciate it too :) Very much. Causes my respect meter to go way up.
 
I open doors for women just to be nice but I don't usually open car doors for them. I mean, to open their car door and then walk all the way around and open my door is too much walkin.' I just pop the locks with my lil automatic lock popper and just get in.
