Ok, while the gift of celibacy is biblical, I think that maybe many have taken what it is supposed to be in the wrong way. Those who are given that gift have it for the express purpose of ministry. This makes missions work in foreign, unchurched lands come to mind. Marriage is a good thing, and those who consciously choose to NOT marry at all are entitled to do so through free will and grace, but I do think it goes against the principles set out in the bible. Basically, God is wanting to bless you and you're saying "no thanks, I don't want your blessing...I'm good". Is that really wise?

What's wrong with realizing that, accepting it, embracing the fact that you will never get a girl, and taking a well respected decision?

I don't want to remain single for the rest of my life, but I could survive single for the rest of my life. I'm a firm believer in the circle of friends theory. What flows out of you will eventually flow back to you. Its just a pitty as we get older our lives get busier with stuff and the bonds we have with our closest true dear freinds are not nurtured and keep strong.

If you are happy single, I'm sure God holds no Judgement, But my opinion to you, Is to let the love come for you, as it will, unless you stay in your room and do nothing but be a hermit crab haha, There is a soul mate for everyone, imo, The beauty of making a child of your own is a gift in itself.

Paul explained this very well, let's see what the Bible says:
1 Corinthians 7:1-8
Now concerning the things about which you wrote, it is good for a man not to touch a woman. But because of immoralities, each man is to have his own wife, and each woman is to have her own husband.
The husband must fulfill his duty to his wife, and likewise also the wife to her husband.
The wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does; and likewise also the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does.
Stop depriving one another, except by agreement for a time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer, and come together again so that (C)Satan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control.
But this I say by way of concession, not of command.
Yet I wish that all men were even as I myself am However, each man has his own gift from God, one in this manner, and another in that.
But I say to the unmarried and to widows that it is good for them if they remain even as I.
But if they do not have self-control, let them marry; for it is better to marry than to burn with passion.
This explain us what God thinks about marriage. Marriage is absolutely NOT a sin, we were created men and women from the beginning to stay together.
Of course, as Paul said if is it given to you, to remain single and stay fine that's good because you can dedicate your life completely to God.
But in my honest opionion it shouldn't be a "wov" because God's doesn't want sacrifices, he wants only things done because we really love Him.
It's written in the Bible "I want mercy, not sacrifice". I think this sentence really explain this concept.
We can't do anything to make God loves us more, everything we do must be done only because we love him but not to make him love us more or to feel allirght with ourselves. So it's ok if you do this with the right attitude, but do not constrict yourself where you know you can't resist. I personally decided to take wife, because I believe it will be a huge blessing for my life.

Ridicolous to do everything God has for him, and serving God? I think doing whatever God put's in a person's way sounds much more interesting and fun than living a normal life and almost never experience a lot of God's closeness and guidance. Paul lived his life single and only spending most of His time on things God had prepared for him. I beleive he had a very interesting and a very blessed life.
Truly, if you think this is boring, I wonder how heaven will be for you. There you will be only serving and focusing yourself most of the time on only God, you will not marry, etc...
What you might think like boring, might be a greater blessing for others. Everyone has a different call and purpose over their lives, you should have a bit more of respect than using such pathetic words like "boring" and "ridicolous".

It's weird the way some of you have reacted to this man's honest desire to stay single. It is as if you are frightened by the idea that God could actually sanction a person's desire to be single, which is ludicrous since Apostle Paul pointed out that there is nothing wrong with being single. In fact, he promoted it.
God does not expect everyone to remain single their whole lives, but neither does God expect everyone to marry.
