'Been feeling very strange lately. My grandparents are with the Lord. My parents are with the Lord. My husband is with the Lord. My stepsibs/halfsibs live far away. My son will be going away to college soon.

Sometimes when I read about people not getting along with family members over things that are not life-altering/threatening, it really hurts me for them. If there is any way at all to be the peacemaker and be part of their lives, please try. Life can change in the twinkling of an eye and the only opportunity you have to do so may be now.

Life is short people, it is all over in a second. Things that mattered today, they really don't matter at all.

I know a little bit how you feel, parents, grandparents are with the Lord. My cousins live far and arnt really close relationship wise, and I left my uncle, sister, and 70 year old grandma for the Navy.

Stay strong though, be happy for whatcha got :)

just look around you and you will realize your not alone. nwe you have people around you, u just have to realise they are there.

I can somewhat relate to OP. I'm not close to any family except my dad, & he's pushing 80. I've had one friend on the other side of the country i was close to, but i've realized how unbalanced a relationship that is, so not too sure i'll be continuing that friendship or not. I have a GF i was close to, but that suddenly is in limbo and i'm afraid it won't be ending well. So if things don't work with her, when my dad dies i will pretty much be solo.

I really felt touched by thiss..it made me think. Thanks, and remember you are not alone. I'm sure you have brothers and sisters in Christ that care about you,at least in CC. I don't know a lot about you, but for what I've seen you are a great woman! Not to mention our good Lord surely cares about you. God bless you.

You are so right! I, too, am a personal witness to the truth of what you are saying. But I do want to take exception to one thing you say.
As long as you are in Christ, and He is in you, you are never truly alone on the planet.

♥ Aww Jullianna...I have all my beloved ppl around me...haven't really experienced a single death of any of them yet... God's been awesome and merciful to me...but you are right.. Life could be shorter than we think... Anything may happen... We should stay with our ppl and appreciate every single moment we spend with them.. Thank you for this wonderful reminder... God loves us to be with one another! And I am here for you too whenever you need me.. ♥ *big hug* :)
