James 1:21-22 (ESV) 21 Therefore put away all filthiness and rampant wickedness and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. 22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.
Does this not imply that I am not saved?

Ask yourself this series of questions:

Is Jesus Christ the only begotten Son of God the Father?

Did Jesus willingly die on the cross for ALL of your sins?

Did God the Father raise Him from the dead after 3 days?

Now if the answer to those questions is YES, then understand it is your enemy that is attempting to condemn you with thoughts of not being saved. Remember, when you WEREN'T saved you weren't harrassed by the enemy and probably didn't have these worries. Jesus is at the right hand of the Father, ever making intercession for you.

Having said that, the Holy Spirit is working in you to turn from the sin you are engaging in EVEN though it has already been paid for.

I pray these truths would penetrate your being. In Jesus name. Amen

Hebrews 5:9 (ESV) 9 And being made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation to all who obey him…
Also this one
Matthew 7:21-23 (ESV)21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ 23 And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’
And this one make me question

spoken to people who tried to work to earn salvation. They thought they were saved, they used all their works to try to convince Jesus to let them into Heaven

Jesus said, Depart. I never knew you. They lived a life of sin but could not see it because they watered the law down and thought they were righteous people based on all the work they did in Jesus Name

I sinned willingly after saved and I heard a message about the false grace movement. Am I really saved?

Why would you ask that question on these forums? Are you seeking comfort from men in spite of a guilty conscience.

Take note that not one person has referred to the words of Jesus in any of the replies so far. Not one person.

Jesus said...

Joh 8:34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.
Joh 8:35 And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.
Joh 8:36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

Truly, truly I say unto you, whosoever commits sin is the servant of sin. The servant does not abide in the house forever but the Son abides forever.

If the Son therefore shall make you free, you shall be free indeed.

Has the Son made you free?

Is it free to sin or is it free from sin?

Joh 8:37 I know that ye are Abraham's seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you.
Joh 8:38 I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father.
Joh 8:39 They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham.

There were those who sought to kill Jesus because his words had no place in them. They served sin, they were slaves to sin, they did not serve righteousness, they were not slaves to righteousness.

We are slaves to whom we obey. Sin unto death or obedience unto righteousness.

Rom 6:16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
Rom 6:17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.
Rom 6:18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.

Being made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.

BigGuy, do you have such a testimony?

BigGuy, have you been set free indeed by the Son?

The above is what is actually written in the Bible yet not one person so far in this thread will connect such things to this notion of "saved."

If you sin willingly then you willingly serve sin. Logic 101.

Mat 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Mat 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Those whom "work iniquity" are those whom are rejected at the judgement. This is why it is very important to heed the advice of Jesus which is...

Mat 7:24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
Mat 7:25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
Mat 7:26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
Mat 7:27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

Jesus told people in the clearest possible terms that we must be both hearers and doers of his words. It is the foolish who hear and don't.

Are you really saved?

You know the answer to that question. Just be honest with yourself.

None of this is difficult to understand.

not in my belief, because I believe that our "receiving His Word" takes a life-time here on Earth. It is ongoing. I believe, but sometimes I doubt. I have faith at times, and others, I do not. It is never totally gone though, or it never has been with me. These verses come to mind:
[h=1]Hebrews 12:2New King James Version (NKJV)[/h] [SUP]2 [/SUP]looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

He is the giver of our faith, not of ourselves, as well as the finisher. The next verse tells me that faith won't be complete until He comes back:

[h=1]Philippians 1:6New King James Version (NKJV)[/h] [SUP]6 [/SUP]being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;

So you are a perfect Christian and never fall, never sin? Wow! Amazing, never met one of those before, a perfect Christian. And Ive traveled in hundreds of churches.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but even SAVED people sin. Christians sin every day, knowingly and willingly. So if YOU say you DON'T sin, then you're a bald-faced liar.. jmo

I was beginning to wonder. I am new here still and thought this was a legit post. No, I won't argue God's Word, thank you for the headsup, denise

God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

For He chose us in Him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in His sight. In love He predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with His pleasure and will-- to the praise of His glorious grace, which He has freely given us in the One he loves. In Him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace that he lavished on us.

I just want the truth

The truth is that, just as the verse Magenta quoted (Eph. 1:7) says, "in Christ you HAVE forgiveness." Believe it. Now boldly go before God so He can help you in your time of need.

Here's the truth--if you are truly saved, then you need only repent of your sins.. :) You CANNOT get un-saved just because you sin..

first, I have to spread some reputation around or you would have gotten a rep..

second. Amen, If your saved your saved,,

If it can be lost Your not saved.. Simple as that.. The simplicity of God and the gospel. which people do not want to see, because they think it is too easy, ad by denying it prove just how hard it is.
