A few months back, God specifically promised me that He would bring my prayer request to past. The thing is, I ended up neglecting my part and the promise I made to Him. I was told God heard my prayer the first time, so I don't need to keep praying(this was my promise. To continue to pray over my situation). Otherwise it's repetition. I listened and I feel incredibly bad now. :(

I feel like I've ran out of time to receive His promise ,and have resisted the Holy Spirit's prompting in the mean time. :( I kept feeling this urge to pray, yet I kept thinking to myself, "Is it faith to do that? or am I wanting to pray because I'm fearful and full of doubt?" Needless to say, I didn't take heed and that's when God reminded me that I have to keep my promise because that's why He made His promise in the first place.

Is it too late now? Is there time to start over again? I feel horrible and angry at myself.

It all depends what it is you prayed for sister. In things like salvation, healing and deliverance we know if is always Gods will and so we can easily pray in faith as well. But there are also things that sometimes God doesn't give us if it I believe goes against His plan in our lives like when my 16 year old had faith to get 50 milllion dollars when he was 14 and of course, lol, God never gave him that.

I don't know what you have prayed for and if God told you yourself or that you rely on someone else's word of knowledge or prophecy. If everything comes back to praying than we can fall into works as well. By faith we inherit the promises of God so I believe that in between the time we start to believe and pray and the time we receive. That is called the mean time, as it is mean. That is the time where we have to learn to keep standing and I have lost battles and won battles.

I remember how I prayed for 6 specific things that would need to be fulfilled to buy my house now 14 years ago and within a day all these things happened but one part, the down payment, lasted four weeks and in those four weeks I kept on standing and believing that I had received what Iprayed for according to Mark 11:24. God in the came up with the money we needed via a total different source than expected and I prayed for but, most importantly, He came through and I did not give up believing until the day before we had to bring the deposit of our house and at 5om someone knocked on our door with the money.

Our task is to stand believing that He keeps His Word and so we can believe that say in our hear, jut like the woman with the issue of blood who said, if I touch the hem of His garment I shall be healed, so also we can set it in our hearts and say, Thanks You Father I believe. You said, I believe it , That settles it! So one reason might have been that this thing does not fit in the Father's plan at all ad therefore you have not received but He still loved you reaching to Him with your heart as a daughter asking Him. I would not be afraid to pray and believe again.

I let go sometimes half way and thought, nah, I failed and then thought, no way, He can do it for me. He loves me. Come boldly before His throne sister! Don't give up during te mean time where it is mean and doubt attacks you. The law of faith overrides the law of fact just like the law of life for an glider override the law of gravity. God bless you. I hope I made some sense for you.

Just do it now. God told us once to pray for 7 weeks. We were too lazy, but I later repented and did it.
Like the son who had to work in the harvest and said no and didn't want to, but later he did. He did His will.
Depends on what you prayed for. If it's still possible it's not too late.

It is NEVER too late!
Repent, ask God to forgive you for not listening, for not obeying. He is a merciful God, full of grace, and love!

If God promised you something, hold that promise close to you, it will come to pass. It may not come as soon as you had hoped, or maybe it will. But God is faithful.

There have been many times God has told me to do something, to step out in areas of ministry, and out of fear, I neglected to do so. But I repented, and eventually, God asked me to do it again. Sometimes I did it, sometimes I didn't.

I'm so thankful for His grace and mercy.

GOD does hear the prayers of His own....NO doubt. Sometimes our prayers need 'legs", such as a sure walk in faith, or reaching out and seeing how GOD wants to instruct or heal or answer those prayers. My grandmother's prayers of having all of her 8 children 'saved" were answered...beyond her grave. Sometimes, prayers are answered immediately...sometimes GOD wants us to take a little journey or walk with HIM as he opens and closes doors to get us to where we are supposed to be. It's a spiritual growing thing....but never ever are prayers in vain or wasted. In fact, King David inclined GOD to 'lean over and give an ear" to his prayers. Now...if we pray foolishly for Calgon to 'take us away" or that we be transported to another place and time to escape from something....we just might get hit as those prayers bounce back from the ceiling to strike us! I do know that if you are truely one of GOD's own, that you can come BOLDLY before HIM..not sheepishly, and speak to HIM.
