An empty mind is the devil’s playground. Every word of this line held meaning to someone who fell victim to the schemes of our common enemy. Suggestions may seep through the pores of an empty mind. First, a thought hovers over it; then like a blowing of a very gentle, coaxing breeze, it scouts for space, lands subtly as if it tiptoes in obscurity. And before you know it, it occupies an acre of your thought life. It can literally boils us in its soothing flames. While being alert allows receptiveness, it is always a rule that complacency is a no-no for everybody. To many of us who fell occasionally, if you would look back intently at this certain conditions, you will notice a pattern, a recurring train of events that lead to our fall from grace. Our fleshly tendencies become the catalysts for our destruction, a play that is as old as time.
