To all of you who choose to enter into the Sabbath, May God grant you an extra amount of revelation and insight, and even more of a broken and contrite heart on this day!

For those celebrating this Day of Atonement, may we all be humbled and worshipful of the merciful and gracious sacrifice our Savior made for us. May we not take this day lightly by going our own way when the sun goes down. But may we all walk away with a little more life and little more fire in our lives. May those around us see even more of our Savior and everything He's done for us in our lives.

God’s Thirteen Attributes Exodus 34:6-7


God of mercy (before a man commits a sin);

Almighty Lord of the universe, Ruler of Nature, and Mankind;

Assisting, helping and consoling the afflicted and raising up the oppressed;

10 For the law, having a shadow of the good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with these same sacrifices, which they offer continually year by year, make those who approach perfect. For those celebrating this Day of Atonement, may we all be humbled and worshipful of the merciful and gracious sacrifice our Savior made for us. May we not take this day lightly by going our own way when the sun goes down. But may we all walk away with a little more life and little more fire in our lives. May those around us see even more of our Savior and everything He's done for us in our lives.

We had an awesome Yom Kippur service today. A lot of reading and prayers, but so full of imagery for our Savior. It was the perfect balance of humbling ourselves before God and also glorifying Him for all that He is and does. It was a long service (almost 4 hours) so it wasn't pleasant to the flesh. But in the Spirit, it was revelatory.

For anyone else who celebrated it today, I trust it was a great day. Feel free to share about your day!

Just to make all aware the celebration of the Day of Atonement has not officially happened according to Yahweh's instruction:

Leviticus 23:27, "Also the Tenth of this Seventh Moon is the Day of Atonement. It shall be a Holy Convocation for you. You shall afflict your souls..."

To KohenMatt, I assume you are Jewish, do you worship The Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal son of God? You have not confess Jesus yet on this thread, so I am asking. I have questions about the feast days and how they are fulfilled by Jesus. why is the death of foretold in the Passover and again on the Day of Atonement? That does not fit with the life of Christ. He only died "once for all" why does the Jewish, O.T. feast days show Jesus dying twice. I honestly want to know. Love to all Hoffco
